10 days out from the Chicago Marathon, John Korir did a workout in Kenya called “The Signature” that had been drawn up by coach Ron Mann and Haron Lagat.
It’s 4x400m; 3000m; 4x400m; 3000m; 4x400m – all with one minute recovery.
Lagat says that Korir closed the last one in 8:09. The 400s were about 64s-65s.
He used to run that last one in 8:30 to 8:15. His coaches have been telling him that he could run 2:02 and today it happened to win the Chicago Marathon.

@LoriShemek Thanks. I question I will appreciate your thoughts. No doubts the implication of sugar for the healthy. Why in the sport world the “specialist” suggest high amount of sugar to improve the performance? Thanks
