This is Running Punks!!!

[BBC Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 @BBCWales]

Former athlete and musician, @BiggyTimmkins has now combined his two passions which he describes as "just a Welsh guy running and shouting" but his album reviews on the run have become a social media hit.

So @runningpunks 2 weeks after surgery and an infected wound, I thought I’d try for a run and managed to get in 5k for #vrc

Pleased with it but it was really warm and strong headwinds but @Badflower helped me through!

[OJ @ZebedeeTyke]

I went for a run earlier but didn't take a photo. Then I saw Jimmy's announcement of an official VRC. I had no option but to go full on John Terry for an ad hoc photo. Shinpads just out of shot. Happy impromptu VRC day @runningpunks!✊🏻💜

Bad choice: Wearing black on today’s run.

Good choice: Starting the @UnhappinessPod episode with @brian_goldstone on his new book.

Happy to be back, @runningpunks #vrc.

A steady 6.74 mule plod with weary legs after a gym and 6 a side footy day yesterday. Today's @runningpunks sounds were courtesy of the fantastic new album by the Diaz Brothers.

TRAIL SOCIAL & TRAIL SESSION
Here are the details for this week's Tuesday and Wednesday night trail runs!

[Running Punks @runningpunks]

We finished strong, weaving back through town & tipping our caps to the amazing Betty Campbell.

Big thanks to The Doc for leading such a cracking run – legend! ❄️ Warm vibes, great company, and another epic Sunday CLWB in the bag!

[Running Punks @runningpunks]

SUNDAY CLWB
An absolutely beautiful gang of Punks charged out of Sophia Gardens this morning, braving the icy chill to tackle the legendary Magic Roundabout. It was very cold (proper face-numbing stuff), but the energy stayed high, and the crew kept moving!

[Running Punks @runningpunks]

Midway, we stopped at the Irish Famine Memorial on Schooner Way, where Dan delivered a classic history masterclass (hands waving, knowledge flowing). From there, it was down to the canals, where the OG heron made its cameo appearance!

Over the next 2-3 days the temp is gonna drop by 40°, so time to get out while the gettin’ was good. New patchwork of old segments to weave a new route together for the distance time allowed. Take care of each other @runningpunks Many of us are preparing for a brutal Monday.
