Many of us are feeling a lot of pain right now.
Anti-Black and Indigenous racism aren’t a coincidence.
They are decades of policies that have systematically undervalued human life - by design.
Colonialism. Underfunding. Social exclusion. Poverty.
Let’s be clear about tax havens:
1) They're only used by millionaires & billionaires,
2) They're designed for one purpose - to avoid paying taxes.
If billionaires & millionaires want to avoid paying their fair share to the public,
Then they don't deserve help from the public.
The largest economic bill since WW2 passed the HoC yesterday. B/c we have a minority govt that is becoming genuinely willing to really collaborate with the other parties, the bill was better - and more improvements to CERB are coming.
This makes a difference in Canadians' lives.
Our social infrastructure is helping Canadians successfully face a public health crisis. When you vote next remember, we’ve only got one party not on board with social investment and they’ll sabotage our fight against climate change, poverty, and equal rights.
Dear Canada,
When this is all over, and it will be, we have to sit down and have a nice long conversation about our wonderful healthcare system.
We're going to need to get serious about resisting conservative governments who *always* go after education and healthcare first.
This kind of drastic policy lurch as one government is replaced by its opposite — and the uncertainty and instability it creates — is endemic to winner-take-all voting.

@kdscott10@nikiashton Personally I was always a hydrogen fuel person... but beta also lost to VHS, what can we say the human race always chooses wrong...
Very good news. No doubt a result of massive public pressure against it.But how much public money already went into promoting this potentially devastating project and coercing communities into supporting it? This has to stop. We need a Green New Deal now. https://t.co/g3TqQXjfA9
Please retweet,
For those of us who care about the idea of a better Canada it is so important to watch “we will stand up” on the CBC Tomorrow (Sunday) night at 9 pm.

"... across every party, support for #electoralreform is on the rise. ...This may be a result of rising advocacy across 🇨🇦 from organizations like ... FVC & the reality that as the idea becomes more discussed among Canadians, support seems to rise."

@Sflecce You say you have no money to come to terms with teachers who are simply standing up for student welfare, but just paid an equivalent amount to parents to prolong the standoff... you are a very stupid man representing a very stupid government...

Britain’s eagerness... to expand its airports, and to search for new oil and gas in the North Sea is absurd

@kennuck Doug Ford’s in charge of Ontario; Jason Kenney’s in Charge of Alberta... we are no different. The Germans who supported Hitler were no different from Americans that support Trump or Canadians who support Ford. Thinking we are somehow different and intrinsically better is a trap.
@JigglyPants44 Because a partisan defeat is a victory for good. An election where all parties recognize the need to cut emissions, all parties represent LBGTQ2S rights for equal treatment, all parties are fighting for tomorrow not a nostalgic white washed vision of the past is a win for us all.
This is what it’s all about. And yet, basically no one has even seen these figures. We need to communicate this everywhere over and over again. Let’s get started.
