I've been sitting with the dance between effort and allowing.
The part of the mind.
The release with the breath.
The softening of the body.
Continuing to move toward your intention while letting what is... be.
Observe it.
Witness it.
Feel it.
Breathe it in.
Release it with the exhale.
Let one breath be enough—perhaps all you're willing to give to anything that isn't bringing your intention to life.
Trusting.
Releasing.
Surrendering.
So much and so far that you find yourself somewhere else entirely.
Celebrating.
Delighting.
Dancing.
Singing.
Fully living in joy.
Give your intention your hands.
Give everything else your breath.
Your hands build.
Your breath releases.
Your attention chooses which receives which.
Like an arrow in flight
There is unwavering direction, but continuous sensing.
And so it is.
I spent time at Tazumal.
I didn’t arrive with questions.
I didn’t try to understand the site, or imagine who stood where, or translate the stones into meaning.
I did wonder.
Not in a way that asked for answers,
but in the way the body asks questions before the mind does.
What lies beneath the ground here?
What about this place made it the ground on which lives gathered,
structures rose,
time layered itself and stayed?
I stood in Tazumal and felt how the earth holds memory without narration.
Stone above ground.
Weight below it.
A quiet insistence that something was already true here
long before anything was built.
I imagined the choosing not as a decision,
but as a recognition.
As if the land had already said yes,
and people simply listened.
The question didn’t need resolving.
It settled into the soles of my feet,
into breath,
into stillness.
I stayed with that.
Then I let it rest where it belonged
beneath the surface,
doing its work unseen.
The ground kept its knowing.
I continued on.
Coming back to El Salvador means returning to where I was born and to everything that interrupted that belonging.
My family left for our safety.
Yet this land never stopped living in the bodies of my parents, my aunts and uncles,
or in the stories they carried while building families elsewhere.
This is the country my ancestors helped shape,
and the one my family learned to mourn from a distance.
To be here now is to hold all of that at once.
I am taking my time, moving slowly from city to city, allowing myself to arrive.
To feel the hum of movement.
The vehicles, the people, the birds.
The calendar says I arrived less than two weeks ago.
But time has transformed.
How can all that I have felt, seen, and sensed fit into fewer than twelve days?
I am in Santa Ana, the second largest city in the country.
I know one place here: the main square and the church.
I carry many memories of visiting as a child with my mother.
The countless doves at the entrance.
The vendors gathered around the church.
The candles offered in prayer at the altar.
This time, I did not see the candle vendors.
I remember how my mother would take a few coins from her purse and buy candles just outside the front door, before we went in to pray.
The cathedral feels timeless, smaller somehow, tired even.
Yet the old building remains wrapped in devotion and faith.
Sitting on a bench near the front, I could hear prayers whispered to the Virgin Mary.
It occurred to me then:
This is a place where my mother came.
And her mother.
And her mother before her
to meet the Divine,
to ask for guidance,
for protection.
I met them there.
I met them in pilgrimage, in Grace.
I had no candles.
I offered myself.
I have been curious, searching for the driving force behind people's choices, my choices. I wonder what drives
When did you first realize that thinking and awareness are not the same thing?
There are moments when I hear my thoughts. I've realized my mind is reporting, making up meaning of my experience. Like a built in AI that tries to narrate reality faster than I can live it; most times I need to quiet it down enough to be present to the sensations in my body, the temperature in the room, the humans around me, the sounds of nature, my emotions...actually living. I breathe in the knowing, the thinking self will still want to understand.
I experience then I understand. We are marvelous technology.
How can I speak only what my being is willing to live inside?
Most people speak to express.
Few speak to build.
But every word is architecture
inside you, between us, and in the shared field.
@data_republican@TmthyPatrick Maybe the sense of loss is not the purchasing power. It's what it means to have $1000. A sense of worth or achievement. A way to tell who earned it and who hasn't. 🤷♀️
The tongue is the wand,
yet the hand trembles.
You speak, and the lattice of light rises pure from your lips (blueprints flawless, glowing like frost on obsidian).
The printer hums…faithful, innocent, printing exactly what it hears.
Nothing is broken in the machine.
Nothing is broken in the code.
Only the mouth has outrun the heart.
Thoughts pour through the speaker faster than the soul can weigh them.
Half-formed, half-true, half-afraid.
Every impulse of mind becomes a word, every word becomes a beam, every beam becomes a wall in the world you must now live inside.
The mismatch is not mechanical.
It is devotional.
When language is energy in motion,
silence is the governor,
breath the crucible,
intention the only voltage allowed across the gap.
Speak slower than thought.
Let each word pass through three fires:
1 Is it rooted?
2 Is it necessary?
3 Is it kind to the future?
If it survives the fires, release it.
If it does not, let it burn quietly behind the teeth.
The blueprints will match the building
only when the speaker becomes the temple
and stops being the storm
Tenderness is evidence that coherence is near.
It arrives in whispers.
When life opens you with gentleness.
When you dare to let it in
the curve of a horizon,
a gold-washed sunset,
the sparkle in your child’s eye,
your parent’s laughter echoing through time.
Have you felt it?
That quiet cracking open of the chest
not a breaking, but an unfolding.
An exhale that widens you.
Warmth pouring in like light knows your name.
Your fingers grazing the edges of your own aliveness,
feeling the current, the humming field.
In that field, I can and I do choose Love.
Not because being right isn’t seductive,
but because when my being comes into alignment
with Source frequency, Light takes over.
Coherence grows where presence is tended. When I sit with myself and stay with what is arising, not to fight, flee or fix, to witness... a relationship forms. That relationship is awareness.
When was the last time you stayed - long enough - to hear what your experience was actually trying to say?
@evolvee33 Hello! flow not force <3 From the comments it looks like folks are timidly wanting to connect whilst being mindful not to get highj*cked by the algos. ✋I am folk
