1983 Negev mid-air collision
"In May 1983, two Israeli Air Force aircraft, an F-15 Eagle and an A-4 Skyhawk, collided in mid-air during a training exercise over the Negev region, in Israel. Notably, the F-15 (with a crew of two) managed to land safely at a nearby airbase, despite having its right wing almost completely sheared off in the collision. The lifting body properties of the F-15, together with its overabundant engine thrust, allowed the pilot to achieve this unique feat." - #Wikipedia
This would go on to be the inspiration for the character #SoloWingPixy from #AceCombatZero
Hey @thevivafrei, here's a few more examples to backup your passionate defense of the scientific method and the complete pseudointellectualism surrounding #Flydubai Flight FZ1073. My flight instructor in HS as a top #NTSB investigator. So I take my aviation history very seriously. So I figured this was good opportunity to share some history and use history to #debunk all the BS

Federal Express Flight 705
"On April 7, 1994, Federal Express Flight 705, a McDonnell Douglas DC-10 cargo jet carrying electronics equipment across the United States from Memphis, Tennessee, to San Jose, California, was the subject of a hijack attempt by Auburn R. Calloway, a Federal Express employee facing possible dismissal for falsifying his flight hours.[2] Calloway boarded the scheduled flight as a deadhead passenger carrying a guitar case concealing several hammers and a speargun. He planned to crash the aircraft hoping he would appear to be an employee killed in an accident, so his family could collect on a $2.5 million life insurance policy provided by Federal Express.[3] Calloway tried to switch off the aircraft's cockpit voice recorder (CVR) before takeoff, but the flight engineer noticed and turned it back on, believing he had neglected to turn it on. Once airborne, Calloway attempted to kill the crew with hammers so their injuries would appear consistent with an accident rather than a hijacking.[3] Despite severe injuries, the crew fought back, subdued Calloway, and landed the aircraft safely.
During his trial, the prosecution argued Calloway was trying to commit murder–suicide. Efforts by the defense team to put forward an insanity defense were ultimately unsuccessful and Calloway was convicted on federal charges of attempted murder and attempted aircraft piracy[a][4][5] and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole...
Eventually, Tucker rolled the plane almost upside down at 140°, while attempting to maintain a visual reference of the environment around him through the windows. Peterson, Sanders, and Calloway were then pinned to the plane's ceiling. Calloway managed to wrench his hammer hand free and hit Sanders in the head again. Just then, Tucker put the plane into a steep dive.[3][9] This pushed the men back to the smoke curtain, but the wings and elevators started to flutter. At this point, Tucker could hear the wind rushing against the cockpit windows. At a speed of 460 knots (530 mph; 850 km/h), the plane's elevators fluttered so much that the control surfaces became unresponsive due to the disrupted airflow. This lack of control tested the aircraft's safety limits. Tucker also began to sense a Mach tuck effect as the airflow over the wings approached the speed of sound. Tucker realized the throttles were at full power, increasing the speed of the aircraft. Releasing his only usable hand to pull back the throttles to idle, he managed to pull the plane out of the dive as it slowed down." - #Wikipedia
@RealCandaceO this seems up your ally. Notice how all these celebrities died around the time of a blood moon lunar eclipse. Maybe this could distract you from the #CharlieKirk voices in your head.
To be honest I am joking. But this does strike me as odd
@Twototheone175@PeteHegseth@POTUS Not sure you understand the people we're fighting or how war works. Win or die, that's war. You kill or be killed. Simple. So remove the threat, end the killing
@TradesNancy@PeteHegseth@POTUS My point is if Israel was going to be nuked it would have happened by now. Either end the threat utterly and completely or stop wasting my time with someone else plot of dirt. And Allies? Allies help each other, they don't just take.
Before GPS, people mapped the country by hand. 🗺️
One of the earliest maps of the newly independent United States was produced in 1784. 🇺🇸
Imagine building a map of a brand-new nation without satellites, traffic apps or even cars.
History question of the day: What place in Palmdale would you make sure appeared on a hometown map 250 years from now?

The dumbing down of America is most evident in the slow decay of substantive content in the enormously influential media, the 30 second sound bites (now down to 10 seconds or less), lowest common denominator programming, credulous presentations on pseudoscience and superstition, but especially a kind of celebration of ignorance."

@GundamIsHere Proof that Communism and late stage Capitalism are the same thing. In both systems you have no right to ownership, the very foundation of our free society.
Ace Combat Joint Assault actually does an amazing job of showing the similarities.
This is what the Republicans NEED to stop if they really want to #MAGA. "It's the economy stupid" Maybe if Republicans were corporate shills like the Democrats are as well, they'd get vote or 2. @POTUS should do something to stop this erosion of personal property rights. But losing the fundamental cornerstone of our freedoms is GOOD as long as it's capitalism right?
How are we any different than the Soviet Union, CCP, or North Korea if we DO NOT OWN WHAT WE BUY?
@pawel_lasek@UrvogelGallus Interesting to see how that plays out narratively. AC is usually pretty good at giving ideologies a fair shake. I mean I love JA because it basically said late stage capitalism and socialism have the same goals. Neat little compare and contrast there to me at least
@UrvogelGallus The X-32 was built 4 miles down the road from my house as a kid. Idk how I never saw it in flight. Same thing with the YF-23. How did I miss those?!
Well if the interpretation is the markets, yeah fair enough. 2008 should have been a lesson that this weird hybrid corporatism-socialist crap only ends in unstable markets. In fact China is doing the EXACT same bailout crap and that Bush & Obama did that lead to and exacerbated the recession in 08 and China's economy is about done for.
If the interpretation is the country, then I hear South America is turning right while we turn left. That's why I never liked the border wall because I fear WE Americans may be the immigrants crossing the Mexican border heading south for freer markets and I don't want to be trapped within my nations rotting corpse if possible.
If the right doesn't exercise the power the American people voted them to have, we will be forced out of the markets or the nation, likely both.
I knew a conservative guy in immigration and he saw the flip coming before 9/11. Pretty obvious when you have direct access to the numbers of immigrants being imported.
