@mcuban Mark Cuban, although extremely successful, is the individual who shifted the NBA to the European players. Just take a look at his preference of foreign players during his tenure of ownership of the Dallas Mavericks. Not America first guy.
To all my friends and neighbors living in SC House District 116 - let’s support the tremendous conservative veteran Matt Leber on June 14 at the polls. Go to https://t.co/nPxCEqgbYa to learn more about a Great American and Lowcountry Leader!
@SCMitchP@CCSDConnects I have. As some one who has played and coached basketball in Charleston my entire life I know too well this issue and witnessed this type of discrimination too often. But thanks for your advice.
The recipe for making @postandcourier All Lowcountry in Basketball is to play the weakest competition in order to have great stats on a mediocre team. Don't have too many talented teammates or opponents. That looks bad! @dshelton66
Here's the real deal. @postandcourier isn't overly interested in giving local high school sports much space. @dshelton66 is forced to run small town coverage strategies for @ 50 schools. All that sums to screw ups. Solution - read MaxPreps
Perhaps @dshelton66 the @postandcourier should consider a SCISA recognition & a SCHSL recognition process. You could then properly honor student-athletes within their competitive peer group. Or sponsor an All-Star Jam & invite them all play. Or go SCISA vs. SCHSL or East vs West
@dshelton66@postandcourier So when a Shrine Bowl pick makes Honorable Mention in football you are accurate? Doesn't happen. Your selections should reflect the top 12 players in the Lowcountry. A D1 Coach signs Slawson & you go HM? @postandcourier should just sponsor All Region, All Star & All State Awards.
@postandcourier shuns the West Ashley Wildcats Region 7-5A Champion Boys Basketball Team on their All-Lowcountry Team! @dshelton66 says he has a selection process. What is the process? Is it subjective? Is it objective? Tell us @dshelton66 how in the world you pick them?
@dshelton66@postandcourier Better player than 50% off your selections. Senior, better career accomplishments. You missed on him too. The people at Pinewood Prep should be outraged.
@dshelton66@postandcourier Name the D1 Signees! That's even worse applause of those kids accomplishments David by @postandcourier. No way a team wins 20+ games in 5A, wins Region & has not 1 kid in your top 12.
Do you think accomplishing team success should be held in higher regard over individual success against weak competition in the All Lowcountry Basketball Selection Process?
@postandcourier@dshelton66 West Ashley goes 8-0 vs. Stall, A-R, BE, S'ville in Boys Bball, wins Region & @dshelton66 sees no All Lowcountry player in Wildcatnation?
@dshelton66@postandcourier Does not dismiss the fact you left out Sheldon Brown who made the SC Team and Randall who made the North / South. AR was down 24-2 in the 2nd Quarter to us at home with Edmundson. No way some of those other guys accomplished more equitably nor did they outplay our guys
MaxPreps Boys Bball Team Rankings in SC @dshelton66@postandcourier 2 Porter Gaud, 20 West Ashley, 27 Berkeley, 50 S'ville, 62 1st Baptist, 64 PCA, 67 Stall, 77 Ashley Ridge, 85 BE, 113 NCHS, 190 Ac. Magnet. Best players play on best teams! Best teams play best competition
@dshelton66@postandcourier Deserving in comparison in individual cases absolutely not in terms of 1st / 2nd Team and Honorable Mention positions. That's why those guys lost to us to begin with. The PG guys are legit. Beyond them you are way off.
@dshelton66@postandcourier Again you miss the point which is poor reporting. In the P& C Soorts Dept. History, when have All Stars received such a slight? When has a career scorer received such a slight in any sport locally. The point is not replacements. The point is very poor public reporting.
