#GOT7’s #JAYB donates 60 million won to support vulnerable children: “I want to give back the love I’ve received.”

The child-welfare organization Green Umbrella announced that GOT7’s Jay B donated a total of 60 million won to the “Green Umbrella Santa Expedition” campaign to help children in vulnerable situations.

Green Umbrella plans to use Jay B’s donation to grant the year-end wishes of underprivileged children living in Gyeonggi Province.

Now in its 19th year, the “Green Umbrella Santa Expedition” is one of Korea’s representative charity campaigns, created to give children waiting for Santa’s gifts in the cold winter a joyful Christmas. This year, under the slogan “The most Green-Umbrella-like Santa Expedition,” the campaign will deliver requested gifts not only to children in need but also to young adults preparing for independence, children caring for sick or disabled parents, and children from migrant backgrounds.

Jay B said, “I’m donating with the heart of giving back the overwhelming love I’ve received from domestic and overseas fans to the kids who need help the most. This donation is something I’m doing together with both domestic and overseas fans as I wrap up my solo tour.”

Noh Hee-heon, head of Green Umbrella’s Northern Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters, said, “We give deep gratitude for the consistent and warm sharing practice Jay B has shown,” and “We will continue various forms of support by always being by the children’s side so that they can grow up healthily while nurturing their dreams.”

Meanwhile, since 2018 Jay B has been connected with Green Umbrella as an ambassador for the “(Green Umbrella) Thank-You Letter Contest,” and in 2021 he became the 307th member of the “Green Noble Club,” a group of major donors who contribute over 100 million won. Including this donation, Jay B’s cumulative support amount reaches about 300 million won.
