Co-founder Rupankar Bhattacharjee says, "... We are the only company in India that makes chemical and bleach-free handmade paper from water hyacinth... Our mentor and he is a renowned scientist Jayaditya Purkayastha told us that water hyacinth is a big problem for the wetlands in India and is damaging the wetland ecosystem. He asked us to work on this invasive aquatic weed and make something valuable, which the three of us deliberated upon and found out that the plant has a very good pulp content and can be converted into paper…we have started sampling and selling to other companies. We have a website and we have more than 100 people associated with us and a unit of 16 people working directly with us…In 2023, I got the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister and this time at Advantage Assam 2.0, the Prime Minister visited our stall on February 24 and he spoke to us…As of now the handmade paper industry alone in India is a $2.5 billion market and it will cross $10 billion by 2030 and we want to be a game changer in this..."
