I live in a working class community. Platner is not working class.

Apparently pretending to be working class works on elites though. Or they think the working class is dumb enough to be tricked.

He worked for the company that Blackwater became as a security contractor in Afghanistan in 2018. So much for being opposed to that.

He went to a private school that now costs $75k a year. He was kicked out though.

He did not disclose gross revenue or profits for his oyster farm, probably because it's mostly fake. His biggest purchaser is his mother's restaurant, who supposedly bought about $5k worth. His financial disclosure didn't tell much, which is what you would do if you're faking being middle class.

He comes from money. Dad is a successful lawyer and mom runs a successful restaurant. His grandfater, Warren Platner, was a world-renowned modernist architect and interior designer (Cornell ’41) who collaborated with Eero Saarinen, designed iconic New York spaces (Ford Foundation offices, original Windows on the World restaurant at the World Trade Center), and created the Platner Collection furniture line for Knoll. These pieces remain high-end collector items today (e.g., a Platner Easy Chair retails for ~$19,000–$20,000).

He purchased his $200k house with a loan from his father. No details on whether he is actually repaying or not.

I do give him kudos for his military service and the unfortunate PTSD that has caused. That stuff is real.

He is a veteran. He doesn't really appear to be an oyster man or working class. That's the role he is playing to get elected. Cosplaying as working class to appear like a man of the people.

I'm baffled by how he got the Democratic nominee. Are people this easily bamboozled?

I remember going to college as an atheist. A few friends invited me to a worship service and I went because I was interested in a girl. During the service, something unexpected happened: as the congregation sang Audio Adrenaline’s Big House, tears came to my eyes. Feeling somewhat ridiculous, half stunned, hoping nobody would notice. In that moment God grabbed my heart, and I left the room not the same person I had been. The Holy Spirit has a way of doing that.
