How the West can peacefully and cost-effectively promote an end to the Russo-Ukrainian conflict and help Ukraine:

Increase oil production.

Doing so would lower oil prices and compel Russia to cease hostile activities, just as we've seen before many times in their history.

Due to fears of an upcoming recession, oil prices decreased today to $65/barrel.

This is excellent news for Ukraine.

While Russia is able to produce oil very cheaply and thus with high profit margins, Russia still requires an oil price of $77 to balance its government budget.

For oil and oil products alone, Europe was responsible for transporting approximately $175 million euros worth per day.

Europe has the ability to defund Russia's war machine, and current low prices make this more politically palatable.

Oil prices are currently low at $67 per barrel.

Before, Europe didn't impose extremely strict sanctions on Russian energy for fear of spiking prices. However, with prices at these low levels, Europe should help Ukraine by decreasing transport of Russian energy products.
