Ruse was a great bar & the home of LFC London. Now closed we will still do our best to supply information & help to the SE London & Liverpool expat communities
Former Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Turnbull: “When you see Trump with Putin, as I have on a few occasions, he’s like the 12-year-old boy that goes to high school and meets the captain of the football team. ‘My hero!’ It’s really creepy…the creepiness was palpable”
@UKHospKate Sorry Kate but it is not just about cost. This generation is different to the previous, they drink & smoke less and are less likely to go “clubbing” as a regular activity. Businesses need to adapt their offerings as a consequence.
@karakono1@flikQ@WilliamPugh_ Despite Franco using the Lutwaffe to bomb the left in the civil war, and giving all the signs he would support the Nazis, ultimately he made the wise political decision of remaining “neutral”.
@pmdfoster@ucu@RishiSunak@RobertJenrick Why not blame the Govt instead of looking at LSBU, and how over the last 10 years it became more of a property company than an educational setting.
@wilcartwright_ Unfortunately we closed down almost 7 years ago. If you follow @LFCLondon they will be watching the game somewhere with a large group together.
@PhilSimpsonLB @UKHospKate Sorry, I dont agree. Most hospitality co’s already pay above the NLW, & hospitality has been guilty for too long of paying poor wages with limited opportunities. Yes there will be an uplift in costs in April but nowhere near 14% & at least we can compete for employees properly.
@julianHjessop Regionality is the key issue with the new NLW. As always London & the SE will be fine, as most of our staff are already close to or above the new level, but in the SW, Midlands & north it is much harder to justify it when the cost of living is significantly lower.
Remembering the 39 football fans who lost their lives at the Heysel Stadium in 1985.
Thoughts are with their families, friends and survivors.
