member delivered a lecture dedicated to Day of Slavic Literature and Culture and Russian Language Day.

On May 9, 2026, a solemn reception marking the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Russian House in Lusaka. Guest of Honour at the reception was Permanent Secretary and Acting Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Zambia Hon. Mr. Evans Muhanga.

On April 24, staff of the School of the Russian Embassy in Zambia joined the International “Victory Dictation” at Russian House in Lusaka. Over 150 students from leading Zambian universities and Russian alumni also took part in commemorating the Great Patriotic War.

School of the Russian Embassy in Zambia hosted a virtual tour of Kaliningrad Region dedicated to the 80th anniversary of its establishment. Participants explored its rich history, cultural heritage and natural landmarks, discovering unique sites of Russia’s westernmost region.

On April 25 this year, a cleanup day was held on the premises of Russian Embassy in Zambia. Staff members of the diplomatic mission took part in the event, joining efforts to carry out landscaping and maintenance work aimed at improving and tidying up the Embassy grounds.

On April 7, the Russian House in Lusaka hosted the official unveiling of a monument to Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin on the eve of the 65th anniversary of his spaceflight. The ceremony was attended by representatives of Zambian ministries, agencies and heads of diplomatic missions.
