After a visit to the cinema to fulfill a promise to young Tom to see the latest Minions film in the school holidays, we emerged into bright sunshine and later had a short walk to admire the golden fields and blue sky. I love summer. 🌾☀️

The Scrap Box won 2026 Takeaway of the Year at the National Fish and Chip Awards. They were very tasty with nice crisp batter, I did have some from the front at Filey that I thought a tiny bit better but I think the sea air probably gave them an advantage.

Bought myself an Airfix model of the SR.N4 hovercraft that used to cross the channel. Back in 1975 I came back from a school trip to France in one, far more exciting than the Eurotunnel. I took a couple of photos using my mum’s Kodak Instamatic with 126 film, they are fading a bit after 50 years. I intend building the kit if I ever have the free time. #Airfix #Hovercraft

Got back from a trip out with my daughter to buy some tropical fish and noticed my odometer is all 1s. I do like things neat and tidy so am reluctant to go out and mess these numbers up. Just look at the temperature as well, what a beautiful day it is. Interesting what Google brought up for 11111 , time will tell if it is correct :)

Yesterday evening we walked through the fields to a visiting circus, after an amazing show we walked back to be met by a heavy rain shower, our son was convinced there would be a rainbow when the shower ended and there was. #rainbow

A little warmer today so a walk was called for. Lots of Horse chestnut flowers perhaps it will be a bumper year for Conkers. The village is one tree down this year as a fine 100+ year example had to be felled. Happy Tuesday everyone. #horsechestnut
