25,000 Travel Free as Munchee Powers Avurudu Journey Home
Munchee, Sri Lankaβs leading biscuit brand, carried out a large-scale initiative to ease travel for thousands of passengers heading to their hometowns during the Avurudu season.
As the flagship brand of the CBL Group, the company provided free transportation by fully sponsoring train tickets for nearly 25,000 passengers.
The programme took place on April 12, covering all 85 train departures from Fort Railway Station, enabling travellers arriving in Colombo to journey home at no cost during the festive period.

βοΈπ₯πΉπ - A fire on a school bus in Thailand left at least 25 students dead.
The accident occurred on Phahon Yothin Road near Zeer Rangsit shopping mall in Khu Khot at around 12:30 pm local time.
The bus was carrying 44 children and six teachers on an educational excursion.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, and the exact number of fatalities has not been confirmed. Sixteen students and three teachers were hospitalized.
Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra expressed condolences to the families of the victims, and Transport Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit said investigations were ongoing.
