Today Daffodils class were kindly invited to the science block to take part in some pond dipping! We found lots of water insects and ticked them off our list including freshwater shrimp, water worms and many more! @RMSforGirls #EYFS #eyfsscience #insects

The Daffodils children had fun taking part in our rainbow collage activity this week. This activity is great for developing fine motor skills and encourages colour recognition. We also got into a topic conversation about why rainbows happen and the science behind it! #efysart

Daffodils enjoyed yet another engaging and interactive musical weekly Spanish lesson where we explored colours in Spanish, numbers and nursery rhymes such as ‘row row the boat’ using props and instruments! #EYFS #eyfslanguages #learningspanish @MiniLingos

Self portrait time! A wonderful way to be expressive and develop fine motor skills. Having the mirror encourages the children to identify they facial features by using their developing observational skills! @RMSforGirls #EarlyYears #Art

Cornflour painting in the garden this morning was highly popular with the daffodils children. It promotes use of our motor skills when we mixed the paint, water and cornflour and the opportunity for creativity and wonder when we painted marks and watched it dry! #EYFS #art #fun

Daffodils enjoyed large scale painting to music this week. This was an activity chosen by solely by the children who will all extremely engaged throughout, we listened to Disney instrumental music whilst making our marks with paint! #eyfsart #paintingmusic
