@Son_Lyme@Alex_Berwick Not necessarily top prices, but we’ll definitely be spending every available penny. Hence the ticket-pricing. It’s also why I think we’re more likely to go for players like Harvey Barnes than we are for Mbaye.
@Alex_Berwick@Son_Lyme Completely agree. I think the focus is still very much on ‘winning now’ as you’ve referenced a lot previously. UCL football again in 27/28 would be massive for the finances and really allow us to rebuild the squad / invest in youth.
@Markyb610 Exactly. £30m is big money, but if it’s him + Harry Wilson on a free, we’ve added 2 very good attacking options for a relatively conservative outlay.
@Real_Rob_Warner@Trentvilla1 We certainly won’t have a net spend of £100m, but it’s not inconceivable that we’ll generate enough income via outbound transfers to spend £100m on new players. Especially if Palace take-up the option on Guessand, Benfica on Barrenechea, Leipzig on Nedelkjovic, etc.
