The Washington State Supreme Court today affirmed that Meta, owner of Facebook, must pay a $35 million campaign finance fine for violating Washington state law.
“This is a major win for election transparency,” AG Nick Brown said. “Washington State has strong disclosure laws and they apply to all advertisers who sell political ads—regardless of size. As the lead opinion said, ‘Meta is being penalized for willfully violating the disclosure law at least 822 times.’”

🇺🇸 A federal judge has ordered the release of Salah Sarsour, president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, from ICE custody after nearly three months in detention.
🔸A lawful permanent resident who has lived in the United States for 33 years, Sarsour was detained by immigration authorities at the end of March.
🔸 His legal team said he was targeted for his advocacy on behalf of Palestinians and Palestinian human rights. ICE alleges he lied on his immigration paperwork by failing to disclose a conviction by an Israeli military court when he was a teenager in the occupied West Bank.
🔸 U.S. District Judge James Patrick Hanlon rejected the government’s arguments to keep him detained.
🔸Sarsour’s attorneys said the ruling makes clear that “the government cannot detain a lawful permanent resident for speaking out about Palestinian human rights.”

Number of houses on the local market must be low. Just got another realtor text asking if I'd be interested in selling. Nope. Happy where I am, thank you.
