@Skywarp555 I’m fine with it just the way it was. Let the crew of the Lost Light have their moment(s). It allowed Roberts to tell the story that he had wanted to.
Despite the violation of the Autobot Code that occurs with issue 6 of Unicron.
@verbalriotshow Often times, “our heroes” are done in by someone or something less imposing than their legacy or legend.
Don’t underestimate the power of a mother who feels her child is threatened. Goofy-ass emotional woman undersells the split decision she felt she had to make.
@Skywarp555 Depends on the story. In IDW, I liked him as a completely different character. Subverting what we were used to by making Galvatron a predecessor.
In a classic G1 style story, Galvatron as an evolution of Megatron is fine.
@noofzoofz Really the only one that was portrayed as “bad” was Getaway. And he was. Everyone else, which was the majority, did not want him there.
It was Getaway that was willing to risk the others. Folks that followed Getaway actually resisted once they found out the others were at risk.
@noofzoofz Though the catalyst of the face turn in Dark Cybertron could be criticized a bit for being rather sudden. Granted being imprisoned, his free will and freedom of moment stripped would grind on him, I’m not sure it’d be enough for full blown turn. But everything after was well done
@noofzoofz I think that glosses over things a bit. He’s still a militaristic, authority driven prick initially. Still scheming and preparing contingencies if the Lost Light experience to go sideways.
MTMTE/Lost Light handled it well.
@Skywarp555 IDW actually realistically depicted situations like this throughout their run. Often we don’t get tidy resolutions to personal conflicts.
I’ve also thought about Grimlock never getting to reconcile with the Dinobots. More realistic that all these characters went the own ways.
@IrishHoneyDip I assume there’s some “ground rule” regarding the roof. Why isn’t it a ground rule double or something? If the ball bounced off the net or wall and a player caught it, it wouldn’t be an out…
@Skywarp555 Yes, more of an atonement or penance arc. He was never going to make up for what he did.
He did however set out to do what he said he would do, and followed up with being compliant with whatever his punishment was as decided by others.
The bravest thing was not turning him back
@Lavender19K Mass displacement?
Or just designed to be more efficient/effective in that mode? “Brawn effect” (short and strong)?
Who of our Autobot medical staff have we seen that would be able to carry Magnus armored up? Fort Max? Maybe Pharma could airlift bigger bots?
