Formerly NetsPulse! We’re a Brooklyn Nets NBA Basketball Podcast! Listen for diehard, masochistic & mildly intriguing perspectives on all things Brooklyn Nets.
My first vote was 1968. Wrote in RFK in NJ primary, then watched TV that night as he was shot. He died two days later. Next day, I stood in line for 8 hours at St. Pat’s to pay my respects at his bier. Day after, wearing my RFK button, I graduated college. Don’t be cynical. Vote!
They really missed the mark at least a third of these don’t apply to me. For instance, it’s my PODCAST that has 37 subscribers I don’t have a YouTube channel…
@BillyReinhardt Look, I’m rooting for the guy. He’s already shown me plenty. I still don’t think people appreciate the opportunity cost required to let someone with Cam’s usage try to round out his game in real time. Getting a couple years behind KD/Kyrie and then walking into a rebuild is great
@BillyReinhardt I’m actually not sure you could have a better situation for a player type like Cam Thomas than being surrounded by defensive-minded, off-ball role guys like he was last year. Do people think he’d be doing better in a Rockets-style rebuild??
@MikeyV1908@NetsDaily@LucasKaplan_@staliataylor Those were fun, and yeah I didn’t really look at earlier series (though they were great). I think I’m reacting to a lot of people basing their opinion on this series on game 5 (admittedly not aesthetically pleasing!), but games 1-4 were just such good back and forth games
This really lays bare something you can’t un-notice once you notice it: Lamenting the plight of small market teams is one of the most effective tools owners have of suppressing player salaries.
@LucasKaplan_ Do you think there’s a world where Wilson fetches an outsized draft capital return given that he’s on a salary even a 2nd apron team could absorb? Or is he too far away from being a rotation guy at this point in your opinion?
@LucasKaplan_ Better yet Lucas’ followers: get in on the ground floor of the next Nets dynasty. The Nets will never disappoint you. It’s a known thing they don’t do.
@MikeyV1908@NetsDaily@LucasKaplan_@staliataylor Literally every game of this series was close, & most were absolute duels down the stretch with both teams trading baskets against incredible defense. Last night was definitely the last round of a heavyweight fight where attrition was catching both sides, but so was Gm 6 in 2016
@MikeyV1908@NetsDaily@LucasKaplan_@staliataylor My historical W knowledge is admittedly not great so apologies if I’m missing some there. I don’t remember Lakers/Pistons in 88 and wasn’t alive for Lakers/Celtics in 84.
Congratulations to my favorite Liberty player, Betnijah Laney-Hamilton. Betnijah was here holding it down before the big 3. She contributes in each game she plays in ways that don't show up in stats. This championship is for you 👑🐝
@FlaggLyn_NAce @JeriTsaiNets In addition to her fighting through screens and pressuring the ball,I thought this rotation is a good example of a “winning play” she made on D as someone who is not necessarily an impact defender. 0% chance her close out alters Phee’s shot, but it buys time for Nyara to
@FlaggLyn_NAce @JeriTsaiNets Plus taking her defense two levels above what we’ve ever seen from her before. Just absolutely battled on that end for the entire playoffs
Just such a complete team:
Stewie as the best player
JJ as the Finals MVP
Sab hitting the biggest shot of the series
Betnijah winning them Game 2
Fiebich turning the water off
Nyara out of nowhere in Game 5
KT wrecking shit off the bench
CVS playing crucial closing mins v LV
