Gods miracles are real, im holding proof in my arms. My wife and I tried for a second child for 8 years to no avail. A year after surrendering to God I was saying my nightly prayers when I heard a voice that sounded like 3 at once. The voice said "I've sent a champion", a week later my wife was pregnant. I dont claim to understand what it meant but I know a miracle followed. Don't be afraid to turn yourself over fully to Christ, what waits is absolutely beautiful.

To tell the truth about a God who still saves and still calls.

He calls people in different ways.
A work truck before sunrise.
A hospital waiting room.
A church you almost did not walk into.
The calling looks different.
The Savior does not.

Protect your soul this weekend.
Open the Word.
Talk to Him.
If you need prayer, send it.

Give Him this weekend on purpose.
He already gave you the week.

The chances of you being here were never good if the world was in charge.

My grandfather, John R. Simmons, fought in World War II.
He landed on the beaches of Normandy carrying a Texas flag.
He operated a tank.
He got a stomach infection and they pulled him off the line into the infirmary.
While he was gone, his tank was blown up.

He came home.
Glory to God, the flag came home with him.
He had seven children.
The last one was my mother.

This is my grandfather.

God’s plan was written before time, down to the finest detail.
Nothing in that story was random.
It was His will.

We all have a moment like that in our bloodline.
One sickness.
One delay.
One door that stayed shut.
If that moment goes the other way, the whole landscape of a family changes.

Your days were written when none of them had yet come to be.
Psalm 139:16

Finish this week strong.
Whatever happens today, God has not lost the thread.
Be bold.
Be courageous.
Stand firm.
You are not a placeholder.
Jesus Christ put you here for a reason.

I have been crying more lately.
Not tears of pain.
Not tears of loss.
Tears of joy.

Growing closer to God will do that.
So will pushing yourself into the next level of faith.

There are levels to this commitment.
The more you know, the more the Lord requires of you.
Luke 12:48

I still struggle with pride and anger.
Not like I used to.
It gets better every day.

On the days I fall short of who He called me to be, I admit it to God.
I know the man Jesus Christ is making me into.
As for my purpose, I leave that in His hands.
He will place me where I am needed until I draw my last breath.

Put your whole trust in God.
Do not let anything hinder you from becoming who He called you to be.
Pray.
Read Scripture.
Ask Him, sincerely, to heal you from what this world tried to turn you into.

We started a fast this morning in our Rooted group.
8 AM to 8 AM.
Not to look holy.
To get closer to God in prayer.

I finished the verse for the day and opened my Bible.
I was not hunting a passage.
The pages fell on Isaiah 58.
True and false fasting.

I sat there for a second.
That was not an accident.
That was the Holy Spirit putting the Word in my hands while we were already hungry for Him.

Is not this the fast that I choose:
to loose the bonds of wickedness,
to undo the straps of the yoke,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to break every yoke?
Isaiah 58:6

God was not impressed with empty hunger.
He wanted the fast to change how we treat people.
Share bread.
Bring the homeless poor into your house.
Not hide from your own flesh.

Then your light shall break forth like the dawn.
Isaiah 58:8

If you are setting food aside to hear Him, hear all of it.
The hunger is the doorway.
The obedience is the point.

Have a blessed night.
If you are hungry with us, let Him speak.

Lord, find in my heart sincerity in the pursuit of Your love.
Lord, let me serve You in the ways You call me to serve You.
Let my ears not hear the world around me, but only Your direction.
Scream to me, Lord, and do not let me lose focus on my calling.

There are Christians who measure their faith against others.
Do not be that Christian.
Know your own relationship with Jesus Christ.
Only focus on your own faith.

Pride is a relationship with worldly things.
Humble yourself before your Creator.
Love that someone loves God.
Do not cast judgment on others. It is not your place.

Walk with Christ first today.
In your heart, your eyes, and your mind.
Keep your eyes on the prize, to hear those words,
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
Matthew 25:21

Some days the body gets spent before the sun does.
Hard work.
People talking past each other.
Then you come home and the house is loud.
Dinner still has to get made.
Nobody in that house knows how long the day already was.

That noise can feel like one more thing.
It is not.
It is proof the people you asked God for are still here.
A quiet house is easier.
It is not always a blessed one.

Jesus did not tell tired people to pretend they were fine.
He told them to come to Him.
Not after dinner.
Not after the mood lifts.
Now.

You do not have to finish the whole week tonight.
Wash up.
Love the ones in the room.
Put the weight where it belongs.
Let Jesus carry what your back cannot.

Cana is where Jesus started showing who He was.

First it was a wedding that ran out of wine.
Ordinary jars.
A couple about to be embarrassed on the day their life together began.
He filled what was empty and the celebration kept going.

Then He came back to that same town.
A father met Him on the road.
His boy was dying in another city.
Jesus did not walk to the house.
He spoke.

Go. Your son will live.
John 4:50
The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him.

One moment He filled jars.
The next He stopped death with a sentence.
Same Jesus.
Same mercy.
He did not need a crowd.
He needed someone who would trust what He said.

That is the part that still reaches across the world.
Empty vessels.
Desperate fathers.
People who will never meet each other, still getting filled by the same voice.

You may not feel ready this morning.
Talk to Him anyway.
Believe Him before you see it.
Do what He told you to do.
Let Jesus finish what you cannot.

I pray that prayer every morning in hopes that The Holy Spirit will guide me in to helping anyone who will listen.

God hears you, He hears me and anyone who calls to Him. Go out and speak boldly about The Lord Jesus Christ. The world is our platform.

Hearing Him is not what most of us struggle with.
Doing something about it is.

The day is loud on purpose.
Your phone.
The news.
The list of things that have to get done.
None of that is harmless.
It trains you to ignore the Holy Spirit until the feeling passes.

Then it hits you.
You are in a store, at work, or talking to someone you did not plan to talk to,
and something in your chest says say it.
Tell them God has big plans for them.
You do not know their story.
You do not have a speech ready.
You just know if you stay quiet you will think about it all night.

I have done that more than once.
No shame.
No regret.
I would rather look a little awkward than talk myself out of what He asked me to say.

Do not quench the Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 5:19

Listening for God is not an old story.
The Holy Spirit still works through people who will not talk themselves out of it.

If He puts a word in you tonight, do not keep it.
Say it.
Let Him decide what it becomes.
