And it’s even more so now! That’s not totally unexpected given the fact that she rarely represents those Mainers who voted for her to represent them. It’s time for a change. She isn’t in touch with Maine voters. Go to https://t.co/TCUtrNMP5V to learn about a better choice!
When Netanyahu was delivering remarks to a joint session of Congress, she expressed her displeasure with him by not attending, effectively boycotting his speech, the speech of a foreign head of state and one of our closest allies in the Middle East. This was unacceptable then!
It was not any emergency or family tragedy that required her presence. It was a petulant conscious decision to disrespect the sitting president and those of us in CD1 who voted for him. This is not the first time she has failed in her duty to represent us at similar events.
This evening the President of the United States completed his constitutionally mandated report to Congress. Unfortunately the individual from CD1 elected to represent us there was not present to hear that report, and to act on it to our benefit. What caused her absence?
🚨 BIG WIN FOR ELECTION INTEGRITY! 🚨
House Republicans just PASSED @RepChipRoy’s SAVE America Act! 🇺🇸
Only AMERICAN citizens should decide American elections. We are slamming the door shut on non-citizen voting and restoring faith in the ballot box.
America’s Lobsterman and Commercial Fisherman are the “farmers of our seas”. Most are small family-owned, multiple generation businesses who risk their capital and sometimes their lives to put fresh seafood in our restaurants and on our tables - and they deserve all the same respect and support we give our great American farmers and ranchers!
I was delighted to see that the Protect Girls Sports easily garnered more than enough signatures to get the referendum on the ballot in November. This grassroots effort should serve as the example for all of us to turn Maine Red in November - good honest hard working volunteers!
Our current federal leadership from CD1 did not support H.D. 1, the 2025 Reconciliation Legislation. But once it passed, it could have been positively influenced for adoption in Maine. Instead, seniors on Social Security and those workers accumulating overtime or tips lose!
Last week we discussed policies that are driving our young and old out of Maine. The Working Families Tax Plan sought to provide some relief for them with no tax on tips and no tax on Social Security but Maine is choosing not to allow Mainers to take advantage of those tax cuts.
During the Civil War, the 2nd Maine Regiment was being escorted home branded as mutinous soldiers. Joshua Chamberlain asked them to stay with the 20th Maine and fight for the Union. I’m asking young & old to stay in Maine and fight with me! Don’t leave! We can do this!
Housing prices are high because demand exceeds supply. Increasing supply is not easy. However, as fuel costs continue to decrease, the cost of building supplies will decrease along with transportation costs to get those materials to the job site. Costs will come down!
We must take the necessary steps now to fix what we can fix. Fire the current state government that got us in this dilemma along with the federal representatives that aided and abetted those poor decisions and policies. Spending and taxation are out of control. End it now!
This is also driving our young families away from Maine! The average cost for a Maine home is over $400k requiring a $80k down payment. Few young families have that type of cash on hand. Leveraging the current USDA loan system could help decrease that 20% outlay.
President Trump has stated that he wants housing prices to go up, not down. Great news for 74% of Maine families that own their homes as values of their biggest asset has increased. However, exorbitant tax increases for those on fixed incomes prohibits retention of said assets.
It appears that tensions in Minnesota have eased because of coordination and cooperation between Tom Holman and the governor of Minnesota and the mayor of Minneapolis.
This is an example of stepping back from good cooperation and coordination between federal, state, and local law enforcement. One has to wonder if comments from our political leaders were the catalyst for these actions.
