@GroundhopperCF One of my favourite grounds is The Abbey Stadium. Until recently away supporters could sit in the stand behind the goal. Being elevated it gives a great view despite being back from the goal.
Sensible ticket prices today by the look of it.

@apunkarchive The late BBC Radio Devon presenter Gordon Sparks did a wonderful punk & New Wave 2 hour one off show around 2021. He interviewed ‘Auntie Pus’ via phone for the programme. Some wonderful mad memories were recalled !

@apunkarchive Yes, The photo is from the gig when the Ruts were support to The Damned.
I loved the Ruts via John Peel sessions, so was blown away when they arrived on stage. They opened with H-Eyes. Malcolm cut his head about 6 numbers in during “It Was Cold” June 1979.
It was on the cover.

I mentioned my Datsun 280ZX on another post yesterday. This was my 2nd one of that model. The first one I had was in white with a burgundy interior.
Fantastic fun cars, mechanically bullet & idiot proof, but their achilles heels was rust on the sub frame.
Loved those cars.

A dreadful season last time out, but they appear to have had a complete rebuild under new management. Signing Tom Ince shows their intent.

@wycombegigs Always a great performer with his bands. See him many times down the years. The first time was in October 1981, Theatre of Hate support for The Clash at St Austell, then headlining in their own right in Tiffany’s Exeter with Southern Death Cult as support(became The Cult)

3 years since my former Mum-in-Law passed.
Here in 1989 with my son about 2 weeks old. A very nice lady who had a difficult time with former husband who had charm & menace in equal measure. You never knew what you’d get.

@ScotRoadArchive It could do with being about 4 feet wider these days. Had a few close calls with HGVs & Motorhomes coming the other way on the bridge.

@daveainsworth63 Some great films. A fine actor. He had a dreadful experience in WW2, survived the massacre of patients & staff at Alexander Hospital, Singapore by Japanese troops in 1942.
He also worked on the infamous Burma Railway.
