@TheMikeBromn @2live_mari Didn’t even realize this was your tweet lmao. Was just replying to buddy. Nah Brunson probably lapped Kyrie but that’s not even the argument

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@fran90952 @FastbreakHoops5 Respectfully I don’t think curry can sit at the table with LeBron. Steph one of the 10-15 best ever. With that being said I think people just have recency bias.

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@TheMikeBromn @2live_mari I’m confused. Who is the #2 and #1 in this scenario?

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@8y4_l78628 @FastbreakHoops5 That’s a narrative not a fact. An award isn’t given based off one game. Steph the only player people do this with.

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@fran90952 @FastbreakHoops5 I wouldn’t go that far, I’d say he’s overprotected

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@8y4_l78628 @FastbreakHoops5 That’s not how the award works. That’s a narrative

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@bman_yung @FastbreakHoops5 What about the 3 straight he went to from 2008-2010?

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@2live_mari @TheMikeBromn He had a underwhelming finals? There isn’t an excuse, it happened to every great player. I responded the same thing under a different thread lol

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@2live_mari @TheMikeBromn I keep finding you lmao. Warriors weren’t a top 5 defense in 2016?

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@ShiftyBostonian Every great player has struggled against a great defense lmao

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@BGNHoops Him or Dame, who we taking?

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@2live_mari @slicorey LeBron in 07 and 11. Kobe/shaq in 04. Great players struggle against good defenses, that doesn’t take away from how skilled they are lmao

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@2live_mari @slicorey Okay so show me the true “most skilled player of all time” not struggling against good defense and I’ll keep it moving, because him struggling against the 64 win Celtics with two all defensive guards isn’t really a slight.

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@2live_mari @slicorey He struggled but he also had the toughest matchup, two all defensive guys switching on him. In basketball if your teammates aren’t contributing it makes it easier for the defense to focus on you.

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@2live_mari @slicorey 19.8 but sure you can round down for the sake of your argument. You’re not a non factor averaging 19.8. He probably had the toughest defensive assignments. Struggled for sure but non factor is crazy. No one else outside of him and Luka provided anything.

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@2live_mari @slicorey He averaged 20 points. “Non factor” is definitely an overstatement

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@2live_mari @slicorey Dang who’s the real “most skilled player of all time” no way they would get affected by 2 all defensive players guarding them

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@DionApollo On me 😂😂 If anyone else would of got Walker Kessler they wouldn’t say “overpay”

[Russell Godfrey @RussellGodfree3]

@PlayersChoice_ Kawhi over Tatum in 2020’s is crazy
