“At one stage I even flew to Australia to get him to answer my questions”
Nerve co-founder @carolecadwalla on her loooooong decade investigating Nigel Farage
*including first raising questions about George Cottrell in 2018 🤔
I feel very sorry for the people of Clacton - they should blame anyone who has voted for Nigel Farage - the MP who did no work and is using them for a publicity stunt to distract from an investigation into his dodgy finances
Oh. And it was during this period that Cottrell met Tom Dupre, formerly of the “hipster fascist” group Generation Identity — and who later performed work for Farage’s private office.
Reform disputed this but we stand by our reporting, linked here: https://t.co/fSKszEDnV1
"Police are investigating a donation that was given to [Jenricks] campaign.."
Jenrick, lest we forget, admitted that as a Tory govt minister he deliberately helped a Tory donor avoid £45m in tax by rushing through a housing development.
Just like his mate Donald Trump, there is no law, rule or institution Nigel Farage won’t attack if it gets in the way of his pursuit of power and wealth.
The people of Clacton can only judge his actions if he *honestly* tells them what those actions were?
When British right-wing populist leader Nigel Farage announced he was resigning as a lawmaker and triggering a special election in the face of a swirl of allegations over personal financing, he sought the high ground, saying his constituents “should be the judges of my actions.”
Instead, rival parties united in dismissing his actions as a stunt, leaving his only opponent to be a garbage-can wearing comedian whose policies include forcing rule-breaking cyclists to ride unicycles. https://t.co/ZY0Aq4PEqq
Count Binface, a comedian with a trash can on his head, is set to be the main challenger to run against Nigel Farage after the Reform UK leader said he'll quit as lawmaker and seek reelection to clear his name over donation allegations.
Good morning Baroness Hoey. You wouldn't happen to know details of George Cottrell's financial dealings inside Reform, would you? Because, you know, well... never mind.
People versus the establishment?
Are you kidding?
Nigel Farage is the son of a stockbroker who went to Dulwich College and then follows his dad into the city, gets gifted millions, promotes crypto and gold bullion, been in politics for decades - he IS the establishment
They did give you a mandate and a tax payer funded salary. You barely showed up to Parliament. Took on multiple other jobs, then resigned to create a self-induced drama at their expense just to avoid any scrutiny of your financial “gifts”. Those are your actions.
I will accept Nigel Farage’s request to be appointed Steward and Bailiff of the Manor of Northstead.
It is a farce and a desperate distraction, and the people of Clacton deserve better.
But if he wants to spend the summer arguing with a bin, I won't stop him.
Lib Dem deputy leader Daisy Cooper calls for the government to delay the Nigel Farage byelection until after parliaments sleaze watchdog has finished its probe.
“He used to say leave means leave - but he has quit just to come back to this place.”

It baffles me why people without a pot to piss in think voting for a party who voted to slash workers rights whose MP's voted against upskirting, drink spiking and stalking women laws and whose leader takes 5 million from Thai based billionaire is socking it to the establishment?
