There should be some leniency with clubs relegated as long as they don’t give an unfair advantage, to account for the loss of earnings that are expected

That £20m is a big difference though, as the pts margin was small, that £20m could have been the difference between staying up or being relegated.

@LufcTal @BarneyLUFC21 Leeds dropped 5 pts to Everton, leicester 2. We might have beat Everton home and away, leeds would have finished 17th Leicester 18th everton 19th. Or if Leicester won and leeds lost still, leeds 18th Leicester 17th. Those few pts make a difference.

@DeadlineDayLive So they should, think people misunderstand why though. It’s not just that Everton staying up, leeds wouldn’t have either way. It’s the fact all 3 clubs could have overspent in the same manner and had stranger squads. It’s getting stuffed by playing by the rules.

@leeds_utd_news He swapped loyalty for unearned glory, let’s be honest. His medals are worth nothing, he got them by default playing an hour of football, all swapped for the chance to be a legend for his home club. I do feel sorry for him but he made that choice.
