💬 Director of the Russian MFA North Atlantic Department Alexander Gusarov: There is no reason to expect positive changes in Russia-UK relations following the formation of a new government in London.

London has no interest in normalising relations.

⚡️ @mod_russia:

On Oct 23, 207 Russian servicemen returned from territory controlled by the Kiev regime in exchange for 207 Ukrainian POWs.

They are currently in Belarus, where they are being assisted by Russia's Human Rights Commissioner #Lantratova.

💬 President Putin: As for our talks with the US administration: we agreed that we are ready to resume our trilateral contacts.

The purpose will be to discuss how the security of Ukraine and Russia can be ensured after peace agreements are reached.

💬 President Vladimir Putin: If we consider the political processes in Europe, it becomes obvious that the people of Europe do not want to fight against Russia.

We do not want it either, and we are not preparing for any kind of war against Europe.

💬 President Vladimir Putin: It is now obvious to everyone that defeating Russia on the battlefield would be impossible, while inflicting a strategic defeat on it is unrealistic.

Living in friendship with Russia is a better option.

☢️ Zaporozhskaya NPP:

Ukrainian UAVs continue to target #ZNPP buses.

Since the attacks escalated in April this year, 10 nuclear industry workers have been killed & around 40 injured.

❗️ Attacks on the people who ensure ZNPP safety are unacceptable.

💬 President Putin during the meeting with Steve Witkoff: I would like to thank you and @POTUS for your attention to the resolution of the Ukraine crisis. I know that it is a special matter for President Trump, primarily for humanitarian reasons.

💬 #Zakharova: We are closely monitoring NATO’s actions.

If necessary, Russia is prepared to use the full range of means to counter and eliminate emerging threats.

☝️ We regularly convey this principled position to the leadership of @NATO member states.

🤦 Kaja Kallas’s interview with @thetimes exposes the EU’s neocolonial mindset: rather than promote Arctic cooperation, Brussels, driven by impotent rage, seeks to contain other nations and deny them opportunities to develop.

[Russian Embassy, UK @RussianEmbassy]

💬 FM Sergey Lavrov: It is obvious that Zelensky has no desire even to move towards reaching an agreement.

Apparently, he understands that any agreement acceptable to both Russia and the United States would spell the end of his regime.

⚡️ Russian MFA Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova shared thoughts on recent events in Europe 👇

💬 Russian Ambassador to the OSCE: One cannot but notice that the moment Russia and the USA show signs of forging a respectful and mutually beneficial dialogue, European states invariably panic and take action to derail this process.

☝️ The UK's vote against the draft resolution on addressing colonialism in the UNGA Fourth Committee speaks volumes.

After centuries of slavery and colonial exploitation, London refuses to acknowledge that such practices persist in new forms.

✒️ #OTD in 1814, Mikhail Lermontov was born. One of Russia’s greatest poets and novelists, he is best known for A Hero of Our Time.

💬 Maria Zakharova: Up to 70% of Ukrainian agricultural produce goes to the EU and other Western markets.

Bear this in mind when Western politicians claim that the fate of the world’s poorest nations depends on Ukrainian agricultural exports.

💬 Russian MFA Spox Maria Zakharova: The proposals now being put forward to normalise navigation in the Black Sea overlook the key point: the current food security challenges are a direct consequence of Kiev’s actions.

#WeRemember

📅 #OTD in 1943, uprising broke out at #Sobibor — the only successful mass escape by POWs from Nazi “death factories” during #WW2

According to various estimates, the Nazis exterminated up to 250'000 POWs at Sobibor during camp’s existence

☝️ Promoting a supposed Russian threat serves to justify expanded security powers and greater militarisation, as well as to deflect public attention from the UK's domestic problems.

However, repeating baseless accusations does not turn them into facts.

❗️ The Embassy rejects the latest allegations made by MI5 chief Ken McCallum in his annual threat update.

Attributing every cyber incident, drone mishap and criminal case in Europe to Moscow is convenient, particularly when no evidence is offered.
