Thinking about yesterday, a lotta these Protestants just hate Catholics man. That’s it. You’d NEVER see this reaction if a Lutheran or megachurch pastor spoke against the death penalty.
> "Christians should refuse to watch public executions because watching them is the same as killing."
> "You can't be pro-life and support the killing of a person after they're born."
This isn't Pope Leo or Pope Francis. This is literally a 2nd-century Church Father.
If you’re a Catholic you have a Sunday obligation. This means you are required to attend Mass every Sunday and all holy days of obligation.
If you can’t attend, but have a valid excuse, seek a dispensation from your priest ahead of time.
If circumstances outside your control prevent you from going to mass like illness, car trouble, family emergencies, etc. it’s excused.
The following are examples of poor excuses to miss mass.
- Sleeping
- Hungover
- Being in a state of mortal sin
- Forgetting
- Fishing/hunting
Just a reminder the orthodox church does NOT support the death penalty. Any orthodox ragging on the pope for his statement are ignorant of their own church's official teaching. It seems many people believe "conservative idea = orthodox church position."
@TornadoSponge All that hatred you are nurturing in your heart, that desperate thirst for blood you hope will finally put your soul at rest. Perhaps it is not the Pope's fault that he cannot satisfy it.
@NyinaWaJambo81@TornadoSponge On Twitter, SSPX is the “true church”.
On Twitter, politics dictate faith.
Luckily Twitter is not real life. Luckily Christ established his church, and gave that church his own mother. And the gates of hell have not prevailed against it.
Christians: I could never vote for someone who supports abortion, same sex marriage and socialism.
But you would vote for pedophilia, rape, adultery, fraud, and killing civilians.
