WOW! Hairspray was spectacular! Everything about it was amazing! I loved the surprise cameos, so special for our community. HHS really knows how to put on a show. And we won the basketball game! What can't our school do???

Magic?? Nope, science! We're learning about air pressure today, and students did a quick experiment to see if they could get an index card to stick to the bottom of a graduated cylinder after filling it with water and flipping it upside down.

My classes visited the JOIDES exhibit this week and really enjoyed it! They learned that scientists take core samples from the ocean floor and use them to gather information about Earth's past

One of my favorite things about a new school year is when Diana Flick comes to my room with Chromebooks for the freshmen and we pass them out like we're Oprah. "You get a Chromebook!! YOU get a Chromebook!!!" It's a fun moment, and I really do love that the students get them.

I stayed extremely busy and met so many wonderful parents and students at Back to School day! I'm also getting ALL of the younger siblings of former students, and I love that so much. Thank you for sharing your children with me and allowing me to share science with them.

Benny created a gimkit game (he introduced me to it) for our class to review for the final exam and they are LOVING it. They begged for round 2 because it was so much fun. This is awesome!
