Jesus found His ministry in the quiet corners of society, away from the noisy halls of political power. He dwelt among the lowly and the meek, teaching them that they would inherit the earth. His mission was inclusive, offering salvation to everyone, rich and poor alike. He taught that true wealth comes from humility, echoing the modest lives of those He walked among. Jesus showed us that genuine faith involves humbling ourselves, rejecting selfish desires, and following Him with all our hearts. In Matthew 7, we learn to recognize true believers by their fruits—fruits that are not achievements of worldly success but manifestations of the Spirit's work: love for all, service to the undeserving, forgiveness for our offenders, and nurturing gentleness and kindness. Living according to Christ's call leads to repentance and transformation, affecting not only our lives but also those around us. This change doesn't come from political power or conquest; it's achieved through a deep transformation of individual hearts, influenced by how we act and how we respond to others. The phrase 'What would Jesus do?' might sound cliché, but it holds a deep truth. We're called to emulate Christ and His teachings, not perfectly, but faithfully. Jesus promises that if we keep our faith until the end, we will be saved, as stated in Matthew 24:13. He urges us to prioritize spiritual over physical concerns, reassuring us that He is sovereign and will repay. So, let's persist in our faith, led by the Spirit rather than our primal instincts, living out the grace and truth that Christ exemplified. This is how we overcome the tribulations in our daily lives and the final one to come, brothers and sisters.
