Concluding a productive #UNGA81 High-Level Week in New York, Minister of Foreign Affairs of #Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov held comprehensive meetings, discussions, and signed documents on behalf of Azerbaijan.
The intensive diplomatic agenda provided an important opportunity to advance Azerbaijan’s foreign policy priorities, strengthen bilateral partnerships.
The discussions reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s active contribution to the multilateral agenda.
Azerbaijan will continue to actively engage with international partners in promoting peace, stability, connectivity and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Madam Speaker’s emphasis on greater synergy between #NAMYO & #NAMPN — two important institutional legacies of #Azerbaijan’s NAM Chairmanship — highlighted the value of bringing parliamentary & youth dimensions closer together in strengthening the Movement and shaping its future.
On the sidelines of #UNGA81, Foreign Minister @Bayramov_Jeyhun met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Zimbabwe Amon Murwira.
The Ministers reviewed bilateral agenda, prospects for expanding political dialogue and mutual support across multilateral platforms.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has congratulated Zimbabwe on its election as a non-permanent member of the 🇺🇳 UN Security Council for 2027–2028 and affirmed Azerbaijan’s readiness for close cooperation during its tenure.
As a concrete outcome of the meeting, the Ministers signed the “Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Republic of Zimbabwe on political consultations.”

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan @Bayramov_Jeyhun chaired and addressed the Informal Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States @Turkic_States on the sidelines of #UNGA81.
In his speech, the Minister has highlighted the deepening unity among Turkic states bound by shared roots and history, emphasizing the strategic necessity of reinforcing multilateral partnership amid evolving global challenges.
The Minister elaborated on key milestones under Azerbaijan’s Chairmanship following decisions and initiatives at the Gabala Summit.
During the speech Minister has thanked the member states for the active participation at the events hosted in Azerbaijan. The events marking the centenary of the First Turkological Congress, that made an important contribution to the study of the language, history and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples was mentioned as an important milestone.
Moreover recent meetings in Baku, including those of the Secretaries of the Security Councils, the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards and leading national analytical centers, demonstrated the breadth of this agenda.
Highlighting the importance of further enhancing the international standing of the OTS, the Minister noted that securing observer status for the Organization at the United Nations General Assembly is one of the common objectives.
He has reiterated the strategic necessity of strengthening physical transport linkages and
transit infrastructure across the Turkic geography, enhancing regional resilience and connectivity.
Moreover it was noted that expanding practical, sector-specific cooperation across trade, energy, ICT, science, technology, and culture to build direct opportunities for our business communities and peoples are of high priority.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also wished full success to brotherly Türkiye for hosting COP31 in Antalya and the upcoming 13th OTS Summit in Ankara, reaffirming Azerbaijan’s continued support.
The meeting successfully concluded with the adoption of the Statement of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States.

Pleased to address the 50th Ministerial Meeting of the Group of 77 and China on the margins of #UNGA81 in New York.
We focused on translating our shared commitments into measurable, practical benefits on the ground for the Global South, particularly in closing the digital divide and securing genuine development capital.
I highlighted our concrete deliverables under Azerbaijan’s COP29 presidency, including tripling the global climate finance target, operationalizing carbon markets, and advancing agreements on adaptation to support just transitions.
We also emphasized the urgent need to fund resilient infrastructure and smart settlements, building directly on the outcomes of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku.
To overcome global inequality, Azerbaijan is actively sharing its citizen-centered public service delivery models, such as ASAN and DOST, helping partner nations to build long-term national capacity.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan @Bayramov_Jeyhun met with Côte d’Ivoire’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Nialé Kaba @NialeKaba_Off on the sidelines of #UNGA81.
The sides highlighted the dynamic development of 🇦🇿-🇨🇮 bilateral relations, underlining the essential role of inter-parliamentary contacts, high-level visits, and regular political consultations in strengthening both bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

On the sidelines of #UNGA81, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan🇦🇿 Jeyhun Bayramov met with Sylvie Baïpo-Temon, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Central Africans Abroad of the Central African Republic🇨🇫.
The sides discussed prospects for 🇦🇿-🇨🇫 bilateral relations, emphasizing the strategic importance Azerbaijan attaches to strengthening ties with African nations and expanding cooperation in political, economic, cultural, educational and scientific fields.
Cooperation within the UN, African Union and other multilateral platforms was also reviewed. Ministers noted with satisfaction that students from the Central African Republic have benefited from Azerbaijan’s educational scholarship programs established for the citizens of OIC and Non-Aligned Movement member states.
To formalize these new diplomatic ties, the Ministers signed the “Joint Communiqué on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Central African Republic.”
This historic document opens a new chapter in our relations and provides a strong foundation for expanding bilateral contacts in the years ahead.

New milestone in Azerbaijan–Africa relations!
With the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Central African Republic🇨🇫, Azerbaijan has now established diplomatic relations with all 54 African countries.
Our diplomatic map of Africa is now complete — opening new horizons for stronger partnerships with our African friends.
On the 2nd day of the #UNGA81 High-Level Week Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev attended a number of events:
• At @OIC_OCI Contact Group meeting on Afghanistan🇦🇫 he expressed support to the Contact Group’s efforts and highlighted Afghanistan’s potential to serve as a #connectivity hub through enhanced trade, transit, and #energy cooperation.
• At the Solutions Dialogue on Energy Transitions, he outlined Azerbaijan’s renewable energy targets and plans towards becoming a regional connectivity hub for clean energy.
• At the Solutions Dialogue on #Climate Finance he underscored that climate finance must become more accessible, affordable and effective for developing countries, with stronger system-wide coordination to turn the Baku Finance Goal into meaningful delivery.
• At the 7th Caspian Business Forum (@caspiancenter) he participated in panel discussions on Connectivity, Finance, and Energy along the Middle Corridor, pointing to Azerbaijan's major infrastructure development successes, growing transit and trade volumes along the Middle Corridor, and the progress of the TRIPP initiative.
Addressed the meeting of the @OIC_OCI Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir on the sidelines of #UNGA81.
Reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to the peaceful resolution of the Jammu and
Kashmir dispute in accordance with international law, the @UN Charter and relevant UNSC resolutions.
Stressed the importance of advancing lasting peace and stability in South Asia through
the normalization of relations between India and Pakistan.
Met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister of Hungary @_OrbanAnita on the margins of the 81st @UN General Assembly in New York.
We discussed current agenda in Azerbaijan-Hungary bilateral and multilateral relations.
We also exchanged views on regional and international developments.
