@xwanyex There was a fake statistic being cited by the World Bank, UN, NGOs, etc about how women spend 90% of their income on their family vs. men spending 40%. It was used to try to justify directing money to women in developing countries, but it turned out it was completely unfounded.

@DBZYuYuYasha @wanyeburkett That’s not what he’s saying though. He’s pointing out that it’s illogical to want to disadvantage your own group (and by extension your family and children) in the present and future to supposedly make up for past wrongs against another group.

@wanyeburkett People like James Damore and Larry Summers were “cancelled” for daring to talk about research suggesting that there might be a biological difference for sex differences in occupational interests and representation in certain jobs and not simply due to systemic sexism.

@wanyeburkett The idea that medium and high status traditionally male jobs like police, military officers, tech workers, engineers, etc now need to be filled by 50% women is pervasive in powerful institutions. It’s much worse than just denying physical differences around strength and sports.

The reason I ask is that it is for some reason controversial and in some places illegal if both parents don’t consent to it.

@caviterginsoy @peterrhague I’m sure Ottoman slavery probably didn’t contribute to “systemic racism” long term given that they preferred white over black sex slaves and killed the children of their black slaves. I’m so tired of Turks and Arabs claiming that they practiced a morally superior form of slavery.

@Wiwic12 @AnalyticaCamil1 Pol Pot studied in France. These people assume that foreigners studying in our country will make them support our system of government, when in reality, many of our university professors support dismantling capitalism and think our current government is run by fascists.

@ArmedEducator Biden just preemptively pardoned his entire family. They will use exec power whenever possible to achieve their goals regardless of precedent. Conservatives would be smart to do the same. Caring about precedent only makes sense if both parties adhere to it.

@ArmedEducator Kamala said at one point that she would ban “assault weapons” by exec. order if no legislation was passed. It would have been struck down by SCOTUS though because it’s majority conservative. Biden would 100% have already done this and succeeded if SCOTUS was majority liberal.

New York is considered the US’s most walkable city, and they’re using government policy to make driving less affordable.
