Chris Petersen on the value of coaches having their own personal coach and thought partner.
"The business world is much further along than the coaching world. All the CEO's have a personal coach...To me, it's more of a thinking partner."
As you move higher in leadership, the challenges get more complex and the toll of the position can compound.
This is why many of the best leaders I've been around don't try to navigate the demands and pressure alone.
They have someone who can ask great questions, challenge their assumptions, offer perspective, and help them think more clearly.
If you’d like to build more support around you, I’m happy to help you explore what that could look like and who/what might help.
Because I believe coaches deserve intentional support for themselves too.

FAITH > FEAR
Trust in God. Keep your eyes on eternity.
Life is hard. God is faithful. Both can be true at the same time.
Having faith doesn’t mean we never feel afraid. It means we trust God enough to take the next step—even when we can’t see where our foot will land.
Romans 8:28 reminds us that God works in all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Every circumstance won’t feel good. But even in the hardest circumstances, God is still at work.
The setback. The diagnosis. The disappointment. The prayer that hasn’t been answered the way we hoped.
We can bring all of it to Him.
Don’t just ask, “God, get me through this.” Ask, “God, help me grow through this.”
James 1:2–4 teaches that the testing of our faith produces perseverance and helps us become mature. Romans 5:3–5 connects suffering with perseverance, character, and hope. Growth can hurt. We can grieve, ask for help, and still trust that God is shaping us.
When fear gets loud, return to His promises:
Isaiah 41:10: God is with us, strengthening and helping us.
Joshua 1:9: We can be strong and courageous because God goes with us.
Psalm 56:3: When we are afraid, we can put our trust in Him.
Jesus came so we could have life to the full—John 10:10. That life includes purpose, love, joy, and hope, even through difficult seasons.
And this season is not the whole story.
Second Corinthians 4:16–18 reminds us to look beyond what is temporary toward the eternal glory ahead. Revelation 21:4 promises a day when God will wipe away every tear, and death, mourning, crying, and pain will be gone.
The destination—heaven with Him—will be worth the journey.
Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep taking the next faithful step.
Faith > Fear.
God is faithful in the hard.
