We're quite excited at Ruswarp School today. Thanks to our wonderful FORS team, we have been able to buy brand new interactive screens for every classroom! These will benefit every child, every day, and we can't wait to use them! Thank you also to Alan @StoneComputers
Adventurers have been learning all about blood. The children created 'blood smoothies' in order to demonstrate what components are in our blood, how it is pumped around the body and the different blood types.
Today, year 5/6 have been finding out which biscuit is the best for Santa to dunk in his cup of milk after a night delivering presents or finding out whether the volume of chocolate affects the rate it melts at as Santa flies over the hotter continents.
We are currently reflecting on our renewed Christian values. The Adventurers have written poems based on that of St. Paul 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, focusing on two of our school values: Friendship and Forgiveness.
In recognition of World Mental Health Day yesterday, the children focused on the 5 Ways to Wellbeing and all learning was centred around this. Our EYFS and KS1 children explored emotions too!

Tomorrow is World Mental Health Day. As well as doing activities in class (see newsletter), it's non-uniform day for a donation of £1. This will go to the charity Compass Buzz which works in schools (including our own) to support children's health and well-being @Compass_BUZZ
