@Travis_Sawchik The most perfect shot of the Bullpen Cavalry I’ve ever seen. I mean, do they really think they’ll get there in time to be part of the brawl?
@1CLEbaseballfan In fact, triplets have been baptized in that cup, three all at once…. I’m not supposed to say this, but the Ohio Cup is in fact the Holy Grail
He’s been on a roll this week.
The World Cup has turned America into a discovery channel for the rest of the world.
And they are not handling it well.
In the best possible way.
Here is what they are discovering:
Free public restrooms. Europeans pay every time.
Free water at every restaurant. Just appears.
Free refills. Coffee. Sodas. Iced tea. Unlimited.
Free chips and salsa before you even order.
Free warm bread with dinner.
Ice in drinks like civilized people.
Air conditioning everywhere. Not a moral debate. A fact.
Parking lots attached to the actual place you are going.
Drive throughs where the food comes to the car while you sit in it.
Ranch dressing by the gallon.
Tex-Mex that cannot be explained only experienced.
Dental care that actually works.
Buccee’s. There are no words for Buccee’s.
Then they found the grocery stores.
Five of them within one mile.
Each one the size of an aircraft hangar.
Burgers. Steaks. Brisket. Ribs. Pulled pork. Lamb. Veal. Every cut of every animal ever domesticated by human civilization available in one refrigerated aisle at ten in the morning on a Tuesday.
The Germans stood in the meat section for forty five minutes.
In silence.
Processing.
They finally understand why we do not have trains.
We have roads wide enough for the cars we actually drive.
Parking lots the size of small European countries.
Airports in every city worth visiting.
Why would we need trains.
The Germans are taking ranch home by the bottle.
The Dutch found queso and briefly lost the ability to speak.
The Japanese are photographing HEB like it is the Louvre.
The Czechs are weeping in West, Texas.
Welcome to America!
The greatest country on earth.
@TiffaniMarie483 @LaneyDMD Look up Dr. Doris Rapp, and the book “Is this your child?” — it was life-changing. IIRC the book includes an elimination diet plan; that, too was a big help.
@kdubs0102 @TiffaniMarie483 @LaneyDMD Almost any “allergy” (really, food sensitivity) can do that - people assume food only affects the digestive or respiratory systems, but it can affect any part of the body.
@TiffaniMarie483 @LaneyDMD Process of elimination and observation. My son was 2 when we identified it; we had corn for dinner, and I watched him go from relative calm to hyperactive in the blink of an eye. Then tested from there, and it became obvious.
@CyborgPeds@RogerRogerATX I have my mother’s 1947 “American Woman’s Cookbook”, acquired when she and dad got engaged at age 19. Includes everything from how to set a table, to game recipes, to “how to feed a family of 4 on $5 a week”. A real treasure - and I’ve never had a recipe fail.
@EthansAnalyst@westexascindy@elonmusk Expand to small pets.
Rabbits. Fish tank. Guinea pigs.
No boarding options for those.
Houseplants need love, too.
Opti-sitter.
