@AlaskanCourtney To which I responded "that will be the day after they put me on the GOOD meds, and I won't be here becuse I won't be allowed to drive" and walked away. She never again asked me how I was doing.
@AlaskanCourtney I had a manager who'd (ever so enthusiastically) ask "How Are YOU ToDAY!" & then get grumpy when I'd respond "not to bad". She finally said to me "one of these days you're going to respond "fabulous", thats my goal"…..
@LibertyJen ...& on those nights us kids would get a pizza to share or happy meals on occasion. But it didn't happen outside of that on any sort of regular basis even then.
@LibertyJen As a kid I remember when a happy meal was a HUGE big deal treat. It sure didn't happen regularly. By the time I was 13+ money was less tight & my parents started doing a "date night" for themselves once every couple weeks (which would sometimes just be going to friends' place)...
@alexthechick These days I cook for myself more because I have a fucked up food allergy that makes it hard to trust premade/anyone else's cooking. I have learned to cope & how to cook in smaller portions. But I don't tend to enjoy it.
