@JudeTin@nclcathedral @BishopNewcastle @NclDiocese @HerefordDiocese Thanks, Judith. I’m really going to miss Hereford too! But yes, this is a wonderful role!
A @WestHereford church has brought worship to where children are - inside a video game.
Rev Jo Burden has asked young people to create something in @Minecraft that reflects the theme of each Sunday service.

Turns out the daughter-in-law of last week’s Golden Wedding couple owns a fab local cafe. So of course we just had to support this local business. Thank you No10, Hereford!
@KoGCitizenship @HerefordDiocese @WestHereford Very good point. Can I refer you to the different ways I’ve mentioned those things being done. Certainly not trying to be, or could ever succeed in being, the Church by myself.
1. I get asked: so what does a Vicar do during lockdown when you can’t take services?
Well...this last week I have
Prayed with people on Zoom every morning Connected people who need shopping or medication with those who can go & get it
@artsytype_83 @HerefordDiocese @WestHereford Sorry to hear you’re struggling at times. I hope you’re getting some R and R too? It is hard for lots of people, but that doesn’t make our own struggles any less, just hopefully means we have some empathy and perspective for others. Take care.
@IsonRuth @HerefordDiocese @WestHereford Thanks Ruth. I’m also Rural Dean & so I do have to be careful what I say yes to, like everyone at the minute. I should also have said I’ve never watched so many films or played so many board games! There’s lots of down time in all this, thankfully.
@artsytype_83 @HerefordDiocese @WestHereford Really not! It’s just what most clergy do most weeks (but without so much Zoom usually) We’re doing ok here, thanks. Hope you are too?
5. Ministry remains the same, albeit in very different circumstances: praying, sharing God’s love practically, worshipping, supporting, & doing admin!
But even more importantly: God’s love remains the same, yesterday, today and forever.
4. Tried to support my husband whilst he works from home
& got to celebrate Geraldine and Terry’s golden wedding with them with a blessing from the end of their drive with neighbours cheering from their doorways.
Wonderful to see so many at West Hereford Zoom Church earlier!
Around 90 people joined for hymns, prayers & sharing an agape meal.
Naomi spoke of her journey of faith & call to ordination, sparked by the call of a 13 yr old girl.
Finished with breakout room coffee.
My church this morning!
Feeling the absence of the People of God so took to the garden with some worship songs, my bible, sunshine and coffee. Came away feeling at peace. God is found everywhere!
