Shanthie Naidoo (born 1935) is a South African anti-apartheid activist and victim of severe state persecution. Banned in 1963 and 1968, she spent 371 days in prison, most of it under solitary confinement (1969–1970) for refusing to testify against Winnie Mandela and other activists. She later went into exile in London and Tanzania. Source: SAHO/Anti-Apartheid Legacy. Photo Credit: Arena Holdings
"When I was 33 in 1994, I went to 43 funerals." Tilda Swinton tells me about the devastating impact of the AIDS crisis and how those losses shaped her life and career-- "I carry all my beloveds around with me all the time."
@PicknPay I am unable to get through to you on the phone. Placed an order for delivery and received the most awful, brown, off fresh coriander. Unacceptable!
So here we go again @WOOLWORTHS_SA. An order that was placed on the 5 December and promised delivery on 11 or 12 December still not delivered. The Call Centre is contacted on the 14th December by email and phone call and no feedback!! Frustration!
@WOOLWORTHS_SA your online delivery service sucks! Expected a delivery between 7-9am today and on enquiry at 11am was told the driver’s car broken down!! What’s your Plan B for this type of eventuality? C’mon, mot acceptable.
@WOOLWORTHS_SA I’m really irritated with Woolworths as my cooking was meant to be complete for a dinner party tonight and u haven’t even started yet as the delivery is so many hours late. My frustration levels are through the roof!!
@WOOLWORTHS_SA I am in touch with the online team, but Woolworths has to up its game if it wants to compete with the excellent online delivery service of its main competitor, Checkers, who have mastered the online delivery service!
What is happening in northern Gaza is a real genocide. Today, the Israeli army forced us to flee for the third time from our previous place of refuge, threatening an area where more than 60,000 people live.
We fled in a heart-wrenching scene. People are walking through the streets, not knowing where to go… walking as if they are heading to the gallows, fear gripping them.
The Indonesian hospital, where I used to work, has completely shut down due to the continuous bombing targeting anything that moves around it. Yesterday, the Israeli army blocked a World Health Organization blood truck from entering hospitals in northern Gaza.
We are facing an organized genocide, witnessed by governments around the world, live in front of everyone. I will continue to share updates on what is happening in northern Gaza regularly. Don’t stop talking about us, don’t stop sharing—because we are being wiped out!
* These are some photos I took during our forced displacement today.

@CheckersSA another bad experience with fresh produce. Bought two packets of Rocket and half had to be plucked out and discarded as it was clearly not good. I’ve raised before, please check your quality of fresh produce from Muizenberg branch. Not good!!!
@Sixty60_Tweets I’ve just been looking at all the tweets and a common theme is the bad quality of the fresh produce. Come on Checkers, if you want to take on your opposition, you are going to have to up your game.
