@chilledmaths@DrHelenDrury@laura_tyler_@JohnMOxford It was! It's definitely not the first time I've said it - but I think making it it really obvious and structuring student think and discussion time before the develop section definitely helped the thinking involved in the practice that followed.
It's funny the effect that a simple sentence can have... "What can I try first' led to a lot of different thoughts... It also eventually led to a class conclusion connecting factors of the total amount and the ratio used.. Via lots of practice! @DrHelenDrury@laura_tyler_

Really interesting to go from a Year 7 lesson on adding negatives into a Year 10 lesson where a HA student made a mistake with the same topic and couldn't understand why... Why it's worth spending the time in Y7 to get depth of understanding couldn't have been clearer!
@LearningMaths We discussed the r - rate when doing geometric sequences today... Looking at the impact of it increasing. Was engaging and interesting! When it fits I go with it!
