Ah yes. I used to live in Bethnal Green. I once said 'Eid Mubarak!' to a neighbour who said it back automatically and then, clocking that I clearly wasn't Muslim, added, "Thank you!" Tough times.
Worlds colliding! The wonderful Marian from @Discover_Story (who I used to work with 10+ years ago!) came to Exeter today to take part in @TheatreAlibi's What If...? Festival. Robin enjoyed the story with Hootah so much we made a cardboard version of the cute little space alien.

I've said this before, but it still needs saying. The books that we call "children's books" are really books written for an audience that includes children, but excludes no-one. They're books for EVERYONE - not some lesser form of literature, but the most important books of all!
There are Olivier-award winning performances, there are Tony-award winning performances; there are BAFTAs and Oscars and 5-star reviews. And then at the pinnacle of acting achievement there is reading your toddler a board book for the millionth time *with feeling*.
