It’s up to all of us—Black, white, everyone—no matter how well-meaning we think we might be, to do the honest, uncomfortable work of rooting it out. It starts with self-examination and listening to those whose lives are different from our own.
This was Rusty. For 10 years he comforted patients and staff at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. Yesterday, one day after his eighteenth birthday, Rusty passed away. Flowers and a pair of his trademark glasses were left on his favorite chair. He is our fifteenth 15/10 ❤️
I kept Django off social media to avoid the chances of him getting taken away from me.... he lost his life last night and my heart has never felt so broken. R.I.P little guy I’m gonna miss you so much🥺
sometimes. the human needs a break from the world. so i grab my leash. drop it in their hand. and we take a walk. where all we have to focus on. is putting one paw in front of the other
@Josh_Blue30 like i said before it doesn’t matter how small the effort is, it’s still worth it. you’re right that a single steel straw might be more costly to the environment when i buy it, but if i can bring any awareness to the issue or help to cut back on the millions of straws used i will
get off your high horse. 500 million plastic straws are used every day and the majority of those end up in our oceans, so the more of us that can help to reduce the plastic the better. stop trying to shame others for making an effort to help the environment, no matter how small.
