OK so wtf is a Natcat?

Friends @nftspeculator23 and @B00Shay introduced me to this yesterday. And I'm pretty damn intrigued.

Natcats are an Ordinals collection based on something called Digital Matter Theory. Basically, the collection size and traits of each are determined entirely based on historical immutable data from BTC.

The patterns required to create a Natcat don't show up very often; roughly 1/100 blocks. So instead of, for example, a developer saying "500 of our NFTs will have hats" or "the collection size will be 10k" that's now determined entirely by the blockchain.

Non human determined allocations of traits and supply.

Right now you can't technically inscribe the Natcats. You essentially inscribe coded receipts as Ordinals, which then prove you were the first to find the cat. But there are already sites using that data to show which cats you own in your wallet.

This "feels" very similar to when Ordinals came out and everything was technically difficult/confusing. But those who put in the effort were highly rewarded.

I picked up 10 OTC myself with the help of my friends above. I think it's an extremely cool/intriguing concept.
