Respected Mr. Anandji Mahindra,
I recently purchased a brand-new Mahindra EV worth approximately ₹31 lakh. Let me begin by saying that the vehicle itself is fantastic, offering excellent features, comfort, technology, and outstanding value for money.
However, today I had a very disappointing and concerning experience. While changing a punctured tyre and fitting the spare wheel, the wheel spanner supplied with the vehicle broke during normal use. This is a critical safety tool, and its failure at such a moment raises serious concerns about quality and reliability.
What makes this even more surprising is Mahindra's reputation for engineering excellence and its association with some of India's finest alloy steel manufacturing capabilities. Customers naturally expect the same standards in every component supplied with the vehicle.
To verify whether this was an isolated defect, I tried using the wheel spanner supplied with my friend's recently purchased Mahindra diesel vehicle. Unfortunately, that spanner also proved ineffective for the task. Ultimately, a fellow Skoda owner who was present offered his wheel spanner, saying, "Try this, it won't fail." Ironically, the Skoda tool performed the job effortlessly while the OEM tools supplied with two new Mahindra vehicles could not.
Further, the tyre puncture/TPMS warning issue has been repeatedly appearing on my vehicle. This concern was reported during the very first service at Ratnaprabha Motors, but the issue continues to persist.
As a proud Mahindra customer, I am not questioning the quality of the vehicle itself, which is otherwise excellent. My concerns are specifically:
• Poor quality and reliability of the supplied wheel spanner/toolkit.
• Repeated tyre puncture/TPMS warnings despite reporting the issue during service.
• Potential safety implications for customers stranded on highways or remote locations.
I request Mahindra's leadership and customer care team to investigate these issues urgently and take corrective action. A great vehicle deserves equally dependable support equipment and service.
Vehicle details can be shared with the concerned team if required.

🛵 Ather Rizta vs Bajaj Chetak 🛵 🔋
Detailed Comparison
🚗 Price & Value: The Bajaj Chetak is more affordable with lower starting prices around ₹96k-1.1L compared to the Ather Rizta’s ₹1.2L+, making it better for budget-conscious buyers.
🔋 Real-World Range: real-world figures are often 100-115 km depending on variant, riding style, and load, with Rizta edging out in efficient modes.
⚡ Performance & Speed: The Ather Rizta delivers stronger acceleration and higher top speed (~80 km/h) thanks to its 4.3 kW motor and 22 Nm torque, outperforming the Chetak’s more modest ~70 km/h and smoother but less punchy ride.
🛠️ Build Quality & Durability: Bajaj Chetak stands out with its robust all-metal body for better long-term durability and premium feel, while the Rizta offers good but more plastic-oriented construction.
📱 Features & Tech: Ather Rizta excels with advanced smartphone integration, larger TFT display, ride modes, and safety features like skid control, whereas the Chetak keeps it simpler and more straightforward.
🔌 Charging Time: Chetak variants often charge faster (around 3-4 hours in higher models) compared to Rizta’s 5-8+ hours depending on battery and charger, suiting users needing quicker top-ups.
🛠️ Maintenance & Service: Bajaj Chetak benefits from widespread service network, lower running costs, and minimal issues like belt problems, making it easier for everyday ownership versus Ather’s potentially higher costs.
👨👩👧👦 Comfort & Practicality: Ather Rizta is more family-friendly with better seating, storage options, and pillion comfort, while Chetak provides solid build but can feel firmer on rough roads.
🛡️ Warranty & Reliability: Ather Rizta typically offers longer battery warranties (up to 8 years in some cases), but Bajaj Chetak’s proven legacy and lower maintenance inspire strong real-world reliability for high-mileage use.
🏆 Overall Choice:
Chetak : Choose Bajaj Chetak for affordable, durable, low-maintenance classic appeal ideal for daily city commutes
Ather Rizta : if you prioritize tech, performance, and modern family features despite slightly higher costs

It’s going to be a tough journey for Shreyas Iyer as India’s new captain. Suryakumar Yadav, no matter how poor his recent batting form has been, never lost a series as captain. Shreyas will now be expected to protect that record while his own batting will be under the microscope along with the team’s overall performance.
A lot is at stake. Shreyas is returning to the Indian team after nearly 3 years, this time as captain. He needs to be fully prepared, mentally and with the bat.
This is a massive responsibility. All the best, Shreyas! 👏
