I'm a cyclist (I really am, did 120 miles a week as a courier until last year, commute to my new job by bike every day) and I agree there's no need to be over polite.
But there's also no need to be actively rude and aggressive. People make mistakes. Point them out by all means in the hope that they'll learn, but there's no need to go on the attack if you've not had a shock yourself.
@FietserGlasgow@benjyminty Gove has some funny ideas but he was an excellent Education Secretary.
More importantly, in person he is well known for being unfailingly polite and courteous. He absolutely does not deserve to be abused for a very minor road safety breach of no actual consequence.
@HenryPryor@MyraButterworth The advantage is that it removes a disincentive to downsizing, or moving for work, which would be a real benefit. I agree it probably won't reduce prices for first time buyers, at least not immediately.
@ediz1975 No, I can't see the "poor cycling".
That is why I am asking *you* to explain why it is "poor cycling", since you are the one who has made that claim.
This is really not difficult to understand mate.
@ediz1975 This cyclist followed the rules. He waited at the traffic light, he made a legal turn, and he braked to avoid a collision.
I specifically asked you to explain how what he did was "Poor cycling". It seems you'd rather spout irrelevant nonsense.
@ediz1975 I know you're a fanatical cyclist hating moron, but I do with a laugh, so do please explain how waiting for a green light, performing a legal turn, and then braking to avoid a collision is "Poor cycling"?
The rudeness is a completely different matter.
People should pay tax on the unimproved value of their home. This means houses are cheaper, but are enjoyed for their use-value, not as an economically inert form of investment.
Besides, under the Georgist single-tax system, a bottle of 16-year-old Lagavulin would cost about £12, so noone would care how much tax they were paying in any case.
@johndotwills No alas, I have never been into RPGs at all. ADHD I guess, don't have the patience for them. There was no real rhyme or reason for my purchasing decisions in 2002, just wandered into secondhand games shops and started splurging on cheap Japan-only games.
@johndotwills Posted the Virtual On Twin Stick in the same box come to think of it, don't think I've ever used it. Saturn stuff was dirt cheap in Japan in 2002, apart from Radiant Silvergun which still cost me 40 quid.
@johndotwills My modded UK Mk1 has a blown power supply but I still have two brand new boxed white saturns in my attic, I posted them back to myself from Japan in 2002 🤣 . Got a V-Saturn too. Maybe I should get one of those SD card drive emulators 🤔
