Sadly, this would be some people's reality in years to come. Life is very brutal. You can blame this on him not being wealthy, but I need you to realise that you can be and still go back to zero. Money is not even my concern on this matter. You have to ensure that whoever you choose to settle with in this life is a super kind human. A person who has deep and genuine empathy for others. Today, we announced legislation that would extend Canadian citizenship by descent past the first generation. This would:

· Provide citizenship to people born abroad to a Canadian parent who was also born abroad with a substantial connection to Canada after the legislation comes into force.

· Allow access to a direct grant of citizenship to children born abroad and adopted by a Canadian parent who was also born abroad.

· Give citizenship back to “Lost Canadians,” their descendants and anyone born abroad to a Canadian parent in the second or later generations before this legislation comes into effect.
