I am so done with these people. The harm they've done to genuine abuse victims, to my country, to reconciliation, is incalculable. All to protect themselves from accountability for the lies they've been telling. https://t.co/8sLvdtPEEV
@ottawalover55 Better the devil you know than the one you don't. Sutcliffe is the best among a pool of weak candidates. Leiper will just be Leiper after the elections. Despite the great efforts in re inventing himself.
@SteveDesroches I completely agree with you. However your council colleagues are all pulling in different directions. Taxpayers trust has been eroded. We do not trust that a levy will be spent responsibly.
"Lowest hanging fruit"? How about slashing the Federal workforce? Slashing the consultant budget? Slashing dubious foreign aid programs? Eliminating health care for failed asylum seekers.
The list of ways to reduce federal spending is endless.
Ok, how about a garbage incinerator? Why is he, all of a sudden , wanting to make decisions when he has debated ad nauseum on issues he wanted stalled?
“Leiper said council is "punting too many decisions off to the next term of council." He called that “irresponsible” and said he’s also worried that the plan could lead the city to sell off arenas, field houses and community centres.”

44% increase over the last 4 years in infrastructure spending. A BILLION dollars in climate mitigation last 4 years.
Its the 100s of millions spent on bikelanes that less than 2% of the pop use for less than 6 mons/yr. Or the 5 bikelanes down Conroy.
When it comes to infrastructure, we can continue to punt decisions down the road or face the problem head on.
Building a city that works means facing these problems head on.
@MichealSuddard_@DevineSean@HorizonOttawa "Play with " our tax dollars!? NO. It our hard earned money, not a monopoly game. Pass a turn Sean. You are not a serious councilor.
"Anyways, I'm real sorry you Jews had to put up with this shit. Maybe together we can deal with the rotted, putrid husks that are our contemporary universities. They turned into hate factories while weren't watching and they need to pay for what they've done."
@buildwithbob@ctvottawa That's the plan. Create an issue, create a bureaucracy to deal with said issue. Then slap yourself on the back for being a great leader. All good, the taxpayers are footing the bill.
@ottawalover55 We have the CBC that has not produced anything watchable in 20 years. BTW Leiper has been on leave from CRTC since he was elected to council. Fun fact.
@MichealSuddard_@LeiperOttawa Another reason I will oppose tax levy on infrastructure. These councillors would use the extra money to build expensive outhouses that will be taken over by junkies.
