Today, standing alongside our students at the historic announcement of the Formula 1 African Grand Prix, I felt immense pride in what Rwanda is achieving and what our young people can contribute to this journey.

[Sylvie Mucyo @SylvieMucyo]

At Rwanda Polytechnic, our students helped build Africa’s first FIA Level 2 Affordable Cross Car, manufactured locally in Rwanda in partnership with the FIA and Rwanda Automobile Club, all in just one month!

[Sylvie Mucyo @SylvieMucyo]

Working side by side with an FIA engineer, they transformed technical specifications into a competition-ready vehicle meeting strict international safety standards. The Cross Car was inaugurated during the FIA General Assembly in Kigali.

[Sylvie Mucyo @SylvieMucyo]

Seeing our students’ skills and innovation connected to a moment of such historic significance reinforces my belief in the power of hands-on learning and the talent of Rwanda’s young people.
