There's a lot at stake, so we hope the transition will be smooth. But so far, the track record of Kenya shows that they prioritize the economy. Hopefully, it will continue to be like that and add more support for regional integration.

The Kenyan elections will come and go, the ordinary Kenyan will continue working, life will go on & so will the region. Because stakes are bigger than individual candidates. When the elections are done, they will not deal with each other but with Kenya.

We need to look at the bigger picture. There is a lot of lobbying and activism around personalities. Still, it should not distract us from more significant issues that we face on national and international levels.

There's a bipartisan bill proposing that they should sanction African countries that support Russia. The bill suggests an ultimatum for governments to take sides. Some countries have clearly emphasized their right to choose who they partner with. 1/2
