I have experience in a few LMSs but by far my least favorite is Focal Point- Learning Tree. Anyone else have a clear favorite or least favorite? #onlinelearning#teacherlife
What are my Fri night plans you ask? Repeatedly refreshing the OH Assessments for Educators site because they oddly decide 10pm is a great time to release scores ๐ค
In good news I can now not only teach in MI and PA but OH too! #teachertwitter#teacherlife
@dhabecker If the student knows where they plan to go to college I'd find out if they need a 3 or 4 on the AP test to get credit. Definitely would change odds of successfully getting college credit the AP route
@Mathowitz @dhabecker Really good point. Overall I had way more teacher help in HS than any college math class. College is just more do in your own. But my AP calc teacher had crazy stats like 95% of her students passed AP test with 4 or higher.

With the digital divide, I find it very odd that my kids' school only shares report cards online via Infinite Campus. No paper copy is sent home.
I bet many families can't/won't log in to see the grades. Ps you only have two weeks from when they post to view them. #education
Dear student,
Please stop writing your entire message in the subject line. Also, I'd appreciate if you'd sign your email so that I don't have to backwards search it from your email.
Sincerely,
Your Teacher

@howie_hua Distributive Property - I can pull myself outside of stuffs and enjoy me time OR I can give a little of myself to many different people/causes
I'm usually shocked when I see my HS students submitting work middle of the night.
Last night I submitted my own college class work at nearly midnight. I now get it.
The teacher has become the student. No more judging on my part. #learning whenever and wherever! #onlinelearning
Frustrated with the end of semester push to pass last minute group.
They have a huge misunderstanding about grading...completion is not enough, demonstrating mastery of the content matters. Aka the work needs to be right!

@Youngmindcreat1 I taught at a mental health day facility and they took weekly hiking field trips. It was my favorite part of the job! I saw so many cool spots in Montana that I never would have found on my own. That position, for obvious reasons, really focused on the whole person
@heatherjane71@MrsAyeAllDay@theDRAMAgoat1 I agree schools won't suggest it but if parents request then they might support it. I requested in K for my son and the teacher was like I wouldn't have pushed for it (schools never know what the parent reaction will be) but teacher 100% supported it when it was my idea
