HOT TAKE: Nostalgia isnt necessarily a bad thing in media. It’s ludicrous how storytellers see old IP or something that’s reminiscent of a time and immediately write it off as “nostalgia bad” when TGM is way more than that.
Also, homeboy directed a remake of Suspiria, so idk.
Luca Guadagnino says ‘TOP GUN: MAVERICK’ is a “very bad movie.”
He says people liked it “because the economy of nostalgia right seems to be the only commodity that can be dominated by all types of markets.”

Reze Arc was cool (liked it less than most) but let’s be completely honest with ourselves, academy members aren’t going to spend time watching CMS1 if one of the claims is you have to watch it to gain RA context, let alone like it.
Watching films is homework to them anyway so🤷🏽♂️
I don’t even have anything against K-Pop Demon Hunters.
But you know it’s unfair when everyone knows the most influential animated movie of the year was something else.
THIS MOMENT. Angela Sant’Albano is the real deal and fully sells how terrified Grace is for me. Her embrace with Emily afterwards became one of the very few times RE made me tear up.
What a game.
her cries when she thought she lost her foot here oh my god. the instant wave of relief she felt. the acting is so genuine i was so scared for her. </3

Tron: Ares is the perfect example of style over substance. Visually and technically gorgeous (as all Tron movies should be) but falls flat in executing its themes in which it borrows from much better movies tackling AI. It’s the perfect “doing chores background movie”.
Robert Eggers is set to write and direct a new ‘A CHRISTMAS CAROL’ movie for Warner Bros.
Willem Dafoe is the top choice to play Ebenezer Scrooge.

Also, the point of this number in context of the episode was Seth telling us “you might like singing and dancing/musicals if you gave it a try” then proceeding to insert Stewie into the scene that made him fall in love with musicals. Genius stuff.
Staying up late to watch Family Guy while my dad was asleep for the feeling of watching more adult cartoons as a kid when it was really Seth McFarlane secretly culturing us. Owe most of my broadway, musical and pop culture knowledge to that dude. And also my love for Gene Kelly.
wait…ppl won’t see a movie in theaters just bc they have nobody to see it with? free yourself from the chains of societal norms. seeing a movie by yourself is legit great.
Kinda a hit tweet for me! Check out the homies from Intercut, who actually love movies. And my boi, Chase, who I edit on the channel occasionally. Great content all around! Support movie theaters!

I must admit. This is making me miss the Endgame hammer theater reactions cause at least for that, it was a great character moment.
This shit is all just for TikTok views and clout. And if anyone tells you otherwise over this behavior in a theater is fucking lying to you.
