#Rays Kevin Cash on Chandler Simpson, who received stitches on his bottom lip yesterday: “He’s good. I'm happy he's okay. That was pretty scary. I saw the highlight after the game. The helmet popped up and got him pretty good, busted his lip, but he was pretty adamant, saying that he was good to go today.”
“I might have been given a bad break. But I’ve got an awful lot to live for.”
87 years after Lou Gehrig became the face of ALS, there is still no cure.
Today on #LouGehrigDay, we continue our mission to raise awareness of ALS, support the need for research and care, remember those who bravely fought, and recognize those who continue to battle.

Update on #Rays Chandler Simpson: He received stitches at Bayfront Hospital on his lower lip and has “very decent swelling” according to the team. It’s challenging for him to talk with how swollen his lip is, so he didn’t soeak postgame, but as Kevin Cash said, he could be back in the lineup tomorrow.
